Asked that question several times....Evidently you have to be cleared by Homeland Security for an answer....

Thanks Guy...... I forgot you gave us that info sometime back. I know we are not allowed to attend, but any at Hynes....Seems like most scrimmages are played away...

Have not been to any Pre-Season scrimmages and am looking forward to tomorrows session...I have a friend who is as much if not more an Iona fan then I, who has became my ''eyes'' around Hynes. Knows the game. He raves about AJ English and states he is a ''steal'' and will be a starter in his Soph. year and a ''Star'' thereafter................See what you think tomorrow.

From Rothstein on Twitter today:
Tre Bowman may be the most underrated mid-major newcomer in the country. Will play 3 positions for Iona including PG. Talented

Team looked very athletic..They all jump well which will help with any height problem. They will have no problem with the shot clock as they all are very offensive minded and look for their own shot..When this team is on target---LOOK OUT.. Some individual observations. SLEDGE....Very impresive..Only 5-9, but I see that as very little disadvantage as he is a high jumper and uses his body well. Quick and evasive. Good outside shot and tricky when under basket.......ARMAND......No longer hangs around out side..Has suddenly developed a inside game, and uses it well. Looks ready for big year.......ENGLISH....Smooth......JACKSON ..Big body......BOWMAN and DENNIS....As advertised...Does not look like a rookie team as they seem to know their way around the court, and coaches gave little direction. MOMO definitely the floor leader...Not afraid to show it....Among leading teams in scoring again a strong possibility.......Felt good seeing fans again....

why are these scrimmages such a secret? The fans just want to know how the team looks and how the new players are fitting in. we got a few good reports from the meet the gaels day but these couple of scrimmages would give a better evaluation.

I believe the preseason scrimmages are more valuable to the coaching staff than exhibition games especially when there are so many new players. I believe that they are held behind closed doors because of NCAA requirements. I am sure we will hear something.

According to CBS sports Iona is going to have a scrimmage this Saturday in New Ro. Hope some details leak out on how some of the new Gaels played. Would like to see some better reports concerning Anderson.

Considering TC's background, it's a little surprising we haven't had an open scrimmage against a D2 or D3.
I guess they feel the closed D1 scrimmages have greater value.
