Sounds like Parga's replacement. I guess its so late in the game we are willing to take chances, but it does seem this one may be risky. Have to believe we will hear something either way on Pelle very soon.
Chelsdeal and Gaelman will love this latest pick up!

I'm 100% in support of transfers and JUCOs being recruited/suiting up/earning a degree and joining our storied history and always have been - - but this is the first signing that makes me scratch my head. TC and JG have not yet signed someone with this sort of problem. Some guys have had academic issues somewhere down the line - but acting out and embarrassing the institution is another thing. Maybe it was an isolated incident. Jayvaugn Pinkston from BK had a similar incident at 'Nova and they stuck with him and he ironed out the situation - and he is def. a good kid. So, it's always possible to get caught up in some nonsense, even as a good kid. But - still.
I believe strongly in 2nd chances - so let's hope the BS stays in Happy Valley.

Sorry gys but I really dont understand this move. I am not even talking about the supposed baggage, though being suspended from both Penn state and Midland are red flags, I trust the staff they did their homework on that stuff. Where does he fit in ? he comes in as a junior and at the moment we have plenty of players at his positions. No way he should take minutes from the development of English and Ellis this season. Why not hold the ship for a big, or even for that matter the way college basketball is today, another higher profile transfer that may come along during the season if this is the path the staff wants to take.

Was rated an 86 coming out of HS. Went to the same program as English did St. Thomas More School. I am just hoping this is not a replacement for another player other than Parga. I can not handle anymore surprises.... the old ticker might seize up on me.
I was hoping we would land Pelle and hold the last ship for a mid year transfer. I guess time will tell.

That is exactly what i am saying. Even if the staff knows Pelle is not coming I still do not see the need for this signing. Why bring in a junior when you have a chance to play English and Ellis. if need be hold 2 ships for next year. I would have rather kept Rashad James.

If he was 6'9" I would understand as we need some size.... I really can not figure this one out.
I can not hold it against the kid because he got into a fight at college... who hasn't. I just do not see this as a missing piece to the puzzle.

Agreed. I trust the staff cleared that situation with Bowman. I just dont see where he fits in to help the roster. We are already overloaded at his positions. we need size. Just hope somebody else is not leaving.

On a positive - Bowman looks to play much bigger than 6'5. We thought the same thing about Mike - when he came in at 6'7 - that he was undersized and the size of a slasher. Mike rarely slashed. He was/is a big in a slasher's body. So, let's hope this kid can bang and board and jump over a few kids.

I am ok with it. We can't get high school guys at this late date. I have no problem with second chances. By the time we are done there will probably be 11 transfers on the roster.

Dont see it. The various scouting sites have him between 6'2'' to 6'5''. Averaged around 2 boards a game. this kid slashes to the basket. No knock on this kid but this signing makes no sense at all.
