Ditto on all posts. Denver is a well-coached, disciplined team . An outstanding game with kudos to Machado & Jones for big buckets down the stretch and of course Randy's big shot.

Close but not quite for Joebird - maybe we'll get another one this year with the buzzer sounding while the balls in the air.
I only had the audio (listening to Gary) and his call skipped a beat on Randy's shot, it happened again with Denvers last Hail Mary - maybe Gary's excitement caused something to get lose. No harm done, it was just a split second and his tone provided all I needed to hear that it was positive.
Looks like Momo has found his stride on this team.
Loved Randy's postgame comments - played down his game-winning contribution and called it a team win.
Another game we win while not playing our best. Great job by the Gaels.

BTW, how many late in the shot clock buckets did Denver get? As disheartening and demoralizing as that can be it didn't stop the Gaels in this one. This was a big one and we all know that EVERY games is big because this team doesn't want to leave anything to chance.

What a win..to fight back like that was amazing.
Very happy for Randy!! Agree with CJB, Momo has found his stride on this team.
This win was huge cause the next 2 (Marshall and Richmond) are going to extremely tough games.

Gritty, gutty win for the Gaels against a tough team. Interesting to note that Denver was the top team in the nation in free throw percentage, but last night, it was Iona that had better numbers from the line!

Couple things:
Who else watched that Denver halfcourt heave and thought for sure it was going in? I can't believe Iona let them get such a good "look".
I too had that "its' not our night" feeling for a good part of the game.
Between Denver and Canisius, I think we gave up about 10 3-pointers with less than 3 seconds on the shot clock, including 3 that were from more than 25 feet (1 last night).

I had that "its not our night feeling" also, but for me it changed after Cluess put in Fields. At first I said to myself Iona is getting desperate here, ( I think the deficit was 13) but what I noticed is Fields knows his defensive assignments. At least two times he was aware of his defensive responsibilities and thwarted Denvers pass to the low post, which they had good success with earlier. Not once did Iona have that "where the hell were you look" at each other after getting beat for an easy basket. Props to Fields for coming in and being ready to play, and props to Cluess he certainly has a good feel for the players on this team!

Listening to the broadcast, it sounded like game had an Iona 1 point loss written all over it. It really does look like this is going to be a very special year. Geart job.
Also, don't you guys hate the fact that we have to listen to Boomer and Carton talk about how bad Fordham is and there is no mention that Iona even played last night?

Watched the replay of Denver's last shot, that missed by an inch. Would that have been painful and typical!

A few observations:
1) trinity did a good job defensively when called upon.
2) Mike is hitting his FT's and he came through down the stretch at the line.
3) MoMo kept us in the game early and he is a tough kid.
4) Great teams find ways to win in any situation.... this team appears to be making those types of adjustments and it is a great sign.
