Coach Cluess is a very reflective person. We can be assured that his decisions are value based. WE can also be assured that his decisions will not be all about the money. What a wonderful family! By the way I was in the bogs of Offaly less than 60 days ago. Have any of you watched hurling? www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=t1BoUj0yZ8Y&feature=endscreenRE Hurling, saw Limerick play Clare at the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick. My car was broken into during the match and I drove with my buddy to the local police to report the crime, but they were closed because it was Sunday. One of the things I enjoyed about the match is that the local bookie had an office right in the stadium, where it was perfectly legal to stop in an place a bet on the match. Kind of one stop shopping.

Well written story. Coach Cluess comes from a great family that has faced tragedy with faith and grace. Let's hope that our young men learn this from their coach as much as they learn their Xs and Os.

I became a bit emotional after reading that article (having lost my brother too). I admired Tim Cluess before. Now, that admiration for he and his family is at a new level. Yes, why not Iona?

Freaky that Richmond scored 35 and 44 in the two halves yesterday.

As an Iona Grad and Basketball fan, I was thrilled when Tim Cluess was named Iona's coach. I was well aware of his ability having had 2 sons graduate from St. Mary's High School. They didn't play basketball there, but played Ice Hockey for St. Mary's which won many State titles in that sport as well. A tiny school was able to compete at a very high level in 2 sports. BTW St. Mary's nickname is the GAELS, another sign of goods things to come to IONA.
