Gaels got the faster tempo they flourish in, in the second half and turned it into a route in the second half. It should be interesting to see who they draw in the Bracketbuster game now.

The audio and video feeds are being fixed by the same guy who is reparing the Stats Scoreboard on our home court! LOL

The audio feed sucks. Couldn't even get the Iona stats. Was able to follow along via the SP stats.

Hope someone made some money on the 14 point spread. It was there for the taking.

It was, indeed. The first half was pretty much blacked out. What was the deal on 21 first half points?
Played very well in the second half. Still I would have liked to see us go inside more rather than just shooting 3s.
Still tied for 1st with MC and LU. Keep your foot on the pedal, Gaels.
Go Gaels!!!

I heard the team knew it was blacked out and that's why they saved their best stuff for the second half. Go Gaels!!!

tau, I'm not a Giant fan, but that looks like a good bet. And we might be tied for first with Loyola and Manhattan, but we have to play both of those teams on their homecourts. And since neither of those schools, especially the Jaspers, were expected to be in this position, they are playing with house money. My dark horse MAAC tourney team is Rider. They seem to be getting hot at the right time, and Jeff Jones is stepping up. Not good defenders, but have a lot of offensive weapons. JMO.

Yesterday, I hung around on St. Peter's broadcast and listened to John Dunne post game interview. The audio was spotty. however, I did pick up two things he said. Iona's defense was good enough to force him to adjust his plan. The other was really interesting.
Last year, his plan was to force Scott to finish the play. Do not let him pass off to Mike. Scott's improvements made that plan ineffective. He now feels that Scott can finish off his own plays.

Though it doesn't help me for road games because I don't get reception where I live, I just noticed WFAS will be carrying Monroe Mustangs men and WOMENS basketball games on 1230am. I guess it's not that big a deal, but still I'd like to hear Iona on over the air radio.

I wonder how many of the MAAC schools have the desire to have a home court ala Siena and Fairfield within the next 5 to 10 years. Marist just did a big makeover to their gym. but it still only accomodates a little over 3,000. With the Big East going through a massive redo, it will be interesting to see how the MAAC, America East, NEC, Colonial, A10 are affected, if at all.
