Verbal Commits, has Iona offering a SG, Joel Hernandez, from Teaneck HS, Class of '13. Also, has video on him, and we don't see many offers for '13 kids. He has offers from Quinny, St. Joe's and Robert Morris. Also has looks from Arizona, Kansas, La Salle, Penn St., LIU, Hofstra, Manhattan and Rhode Island. Kid is averaging more than 24 PPG.... he can shoot and slash. He can score in a variety of ways. He would be a good pickup. Another kid I like is Hackensack SG Rashard Figures (2014). We have not offered but he has offers from SHU, URI, St. Joe's and Delaware. He has interest from Iona, Connecticut, DePaul, Georgetown, Maryland, Rutgers, SJU, USC and Virginia. The kid can shoot.

1970 is probably thinking of the kid who committed to Towson but didn't qualify. Ended up at Marshall but there wasn't a ship available. Due to enroll at Iona in May. Might or might not be available in October.

Guy, I live 10 minutes from Santa Fe Christian. If he has a game or two left, I'll try to attend and report back.

Iona has offered Ryden Hines, a 6-9 center originally from Alaska but now with Impact Academy in Vegas. Ryden Hines was 2012 Gatorade POY Runner up in Alaska. There are some video clips of him on you tube from high school. He reminds me a bit of Ryan Rossiter.... his body movement and his ability to score from awkward angles. I am sure he has gotten better as Impact plays a top notch schedule.

Congratulations to Isaiah Williams, sounds like we have a real good one coming in next year.
On a separate note, as posted in the Loyola thread, both Paschals were at the Loyola game last night. Also heard there may have been another recruit visiting, but not certain who it may have been.
