The likely scenario on Eric Paschall - Dobbs Ferry is that he goes to prep school repeating Jr. Year. he turned 16 in December. The feeling is that when he graduates in 2015 he will have matured in all aspects. He could be real special.

The word on Grant Corsi: a fundamental 2/3 who has a similar game style to Mike Hart from Gonzaga. His dad is involved with the Solana Beach Cats, a very well respected local organization which focuses on teaching fundamentals and skills to 4th -8th grade levels, in preparation for high school ball. My source felt Grant would receive offers from a low to mid D1 caliber school.

Or do you go to a college, redshirt, concentrate on your grades, adjust to college life, learn the teams system, go through the conditioning program to bet stronger and pretty much guarantee that half of your masters will get paid for in your fifth season? If you know where you want to go the option above is beneficial. If you want to go higher or are not sure what you want then Prep is the route to go.

If he is a player who can log some minutes at the division 1 level and he has great grades that would make him attractive to many programs. For some programs assisting the teams academic standing is as important as having a great spin move down low. Great info Java... thanks.

I go to church with Mario Moody's father. His father says that Mario isn't happy at Wagner. I know that Temple wants him but I know for a fact that if Iona steps to him, there is a good chance that Iona can get him. Check out his videos...He's a long 6'7" above the rim acrobatic type of player that would be a perfect swing player for anyone. He plays solid Defense as well and leads the team in rebounds and block shots...If you want a dunk show, go get "Super Mario"

Mario Moody looks very athletic and was rated an 80 by ESPN coming out of high school. He had offers from JMU, Robert Morris and Siena. He also had interest from Temple, Iona, Rice, Colorado St. and Florida International.
Problem is Iona can not approach him.... he is enrolled in another school.

Would he have to sit again? Waiver?

Iona's defense simply gives to much room for outside shots. They play a half step further away and appear to live in fear of commiting a foul.....................I have been a little harsh on Kyle Smyth lately, but he sure knows how to defend the three by keeping his arms up and continualy in motion to bother the shot without fouling. If it would have caused our opponents to miss just a few of those three's during that 11 point period we might have won five of those games.................Both Bowman and Dennis have at times played well against Canisius....need it to continue.........

Would he have to sit again? Waiver? Yes he would have to sit but he would have two years of eligibility. He would not get a waiver unless he has a dying relative. There were reports that he was not happy before the season started and a few people speculated he would end up at Iona. Cooley talked him out of leaving at that point. If his head was on right could you have imagined a starting team of MoMo, Sean, Bowman, Laury and Johnson?

Iona 86 he might only have 1 year left . He sat one year already. You might be right as he did play 9 minutes for Arizona as a frosh. It is pretty sad that he has killed two or three years of eligibility for an amount of playing time that equals playing less than 4 1/2 full games. Rumblings had him not listening to the Cooley and the staff. That mixed with his problems at Arizona might mean we dodged a huge bullet not getting him.
