Mustapha Traore - 6'7" PF from the Phelps School. Has offers from UMBC, Rider, Fairfield, Maryland Eastern Shore, Hartford, St. Peters, Cal State Bakersfield and North Texas. Gettiong looks from Quinny. Scouting report from City of Basketball Love site: "He is a very intriguing, athletic face-up ‘four’ with a lot up upside. Currently, he does a lot of things well on the basketball court. Right now, he’s most dangerous on the defensive end, using his long arms to alter a lot of shots. He’s got above-average hands, and as he continues to work on his footwork he’ll become a better rebounder as well. On offense, he gets a lot of his buckets within 10 feet, though he has shown the ability to pop out and hit a jumper from time to time. He will need to continue to work on his strength and conditioning as he gets to college. He’s getting offers in the MAAC/NEC range, and could see offers from schools in the CAA offering if he can continue to get his motor running higher at all times and get more consistency with his face-up game. –July 15, 2014" Last year he played with former and current Iona recruits Terry Larrier (VCU) and Quincy McKnight (2015). He’s cut his list down to five schools who have offered and one who’s yet to: Fairfield, Monmouth, Saint Peter’s, Wagner, Fairleigh Dickinson and Florida Gulf Coast, with FGCU the only outlier in terms of an offer. cityofbasketballlove.com/2014/08/mustapha-traore-cuts-list-down-to-final-six/Apparently, having Philly players on the roster is very important to him. That is something we do not have.

Not that I think we have a shot, but Steve Enoch is switching schools from Norwalk HS to St. Thomas More. We were on him early, but he's really blown up.

I thought resold not get Andrew without offering his twin Aaron. Looks like Quinny offered both.
Verbal Commits @verbalcommits · 1h 2015 Putnam Science (CT) G Andrew Robinson has committed to Quinnipiac.

Andrew tweeted yesterday about making a decision... he then tweeted "family first"... so it looks like that he decided he wanted to play with his brother

Agreed. I would have liked Andrew Robinson. TC type of recruit, 6'5'' SG who knocks down threes. Don't see the need for his brother Aaron though. Looks like there are quite a few players being recruited by multiple MAAC programs. Andrew was a main target for Siena, along with 6'9'' PF Evan Fisher, who I don't believe was offered by Iona. Qpac starting to be a pain in the ass in the recruiting world. Get Mclean out of our own backyard, Andrew Robinson and in the final 4, with Fordham, Duquesne and St. Joe's for another Iona recruit 6'6'' SF Jesse Bunting

Doesn't one of Cluess kids graduate high school this year, would like to see his stock blow up as we may have a good chance of landing him!

I'm not sure that TC wants him on the team, as he might feel that it would not be best for his son. But I am wondering if it would cost the team one of its 13 scholarships, as I believe that kids of employees get a free ride? Does anyone know?

Based on an interview I heard with Cluess I agree with IC59, sounds like he isn't thrilled with the idea of coaching his sons. I think unless the kid really pushed to want to play for his father he will end up elsewhere. The other possibility is if he isn't good enough to get a D-1 scholarship and really wants one he could end up at Iona as well.

It would count against the scholarship limit.
