The scouting report on this year's Wake team is that they crash the boards extremely well, but are careless with the ball and not particularly good shooters. Hopefully this plays into our hands nicely and leads to transition buckets. On the other hand, let's hope our rebounding deficiencies aren't exposed too much against them.

If the Iona-Arkansas produces 190 points, I hope Arkansas doesn't get 180 of them. Even in the SEC they are going to be very hard to beat at home. Of course that opinion is based on ONE GAME. And Wake has a VG player, Thomas, and I'm sure they'll be much better at home, playing against a team that is no where near as physical as the team they played last night. And I've looked at many box scores this morning and one team shot 1-18 from 'three', was it Wake? And if it was I can see us playing a packed in zone. And the other two teams in the tourney, Del St. and North Texas played a very competitive game with North Texas (home team) winning and going to 3-0. We are probably (??) their next game. One thing seems certain, our next three games are crucial to a successful OOC season.

The Wake game should be competitive, the Arkanas game looks to be a problem!

Got to think after getting embarrassed on the road at Arkansas, Wake will be looking for revenge against us Friday night. I'm hoping after our own road performance, we'll be looking for revenge too. Let's give them some serious discomfort.

Now for the power of positive thinking and faith in Coach Cluess and his staff. Big game vs an ACC team will be a great motivator for the players to play full throttle. Looking forward to tomorrow night. Let's get it done. GO GAELS!

We should be able to out score Wake. From what I watched last evening, they lack offensive fire power and their guards are very shaky controlling the ball. Granted, Ark is more physical than Iona, but we play the same type of defensive pressure as Ark. They have a talented center but he even seemed to get rattled easily. Good guys 82 Wake 74 I don't bet on hoops anymore but it looks like a disconnected point spread at 3.5

Will be interesting to see who our fifth starter is tonight. Wouldn't be shocked to see Robinson in there.

iona05, you might not be shocked by DR starting, but everyone else probably would. But they don't have to worry.(Smiley Face)
