Don't know what to make of the being near home situation. That was the only reason So. Miss. granted his release, I am sure they are wondering what's going on. Having said that looking at his top 5 list Iona and Oregon play the style that best suits his game. Oregon just signed a 4 star recruit that reclassified to the '14 class who plays his position and their best returning player is their SG who scored 18ppg last year. Amazing Oregon still has 3 scholarships available and will be in a total rebuild this year as well as BC and USF. Tough to say no to the 4 BCS programs on his list, but if style of play and wanting to be near family are truly important I think Iona has a decent shot. Either way, good job by the staff to get him on campus up against BCS programs. Who's got the best chance to play in the tourney?

His head has got to be spinning with all the interest he's getting. Hope he makes the right decision for himself. The good thing is that we should find out soon as there's not much time left to make a decision.

Agreed. surprised to see he said 22 programs reached out to him in such a short period of time. I guess we are far from the only school sitting on a class of '14 scholarship.

Close to home, style of play and get to play his natural position with plenty of PT and the freedom to shoot all the threes he wants with the best chance to play in the NCAA tourney. Hope the staff took him to the greasy Knick's/Billy Bud's combo. Can anybody get me Brown's phone number?

After reading his comments I would say he doesn't come, sounds like a bc lean and just the fact that he is willing to travel out to Oregon is not a good sign. The only way he chooses Iona is after all is said and done he realizes he truly does want to stay close to home.

With only a single year of eligibility left, why play it so far from friends and family?

He thinks the ACC is the best league in the country, so presumably he thinks he'll play against the best competition day in and day out and be able to showcase himself against that. That would suggest BC or FSU to me. Oregon is in the PAC 10. I honestly don't recall what league USF is in. For us he'll get to face high major competition only a few times, but we have a good track record of preparing guys for the next level for a mid-major and with him we have a very good shot at an NCAA bid. Part of preparing yourself for the next level is playing in pressure games. The MAAC tourney and NCAA tourney will provide those. Add in we're the closest team left with regard to the location of his home. So I think he's got some thinking to do, but I don't think we're completely out of it.

Tired of the Brown situation, and deciding enough of guess work and rumors, I decided yesterday to take good look at film clips of Bebis... After viewing about 1 1/2 hours of these clips IMO............. He is very close to the 6-6 height...With practice time and a little getting use to the Iona and USA systems he will become a valuable team member...He can determined by situation used both as a small forward or a shooting guard...His ability to get off a very quick stop and shoot shot will cause problems defensively...He has excellent basketball body movement and aggression... How much college basketball will he have left will determine his ultimate team value...The more time left to his college career will increase the possibility that he will become a very pleasant surprise....I feel sure that somewhere hidden away in Greece our staff received a call of ''Be sure to take a look at this kid''

If he wants the best chance to play in the NCAA tourney and family truly is a concern, then Iona has a decent shot. His Family can see just about every game he plays and he would be playing his natural position in a system that fits his skill set. Saw he knows Machado and Armand so hopefully they are both talking to him. Guess we will get the answer this weekend

My source: our beloved SID, who is 6-6 and said Bebis was taller than him.

If known, how much time will he have to play at Iona?
