Anyone know if there is any interest in Kevin Degnan from Pearl River. Thought I saw his name mentioned on recruiting threads. Seems like Siena, Fordham, Duquesne and Fairfield are in on him. 6'7'' kid who I think would be a good get

Yes we have been on kevin Degnan since his sophomore season. He is a very good player.. saw him play twice last year. Here was my scouting report from the first game:
"I went to watch 2014 recruit Kevin Degnan play yesterday. He scored 29 points to lead pearl River over Clarkstown North. He is 6'8" and moves well. He has a nice touch, even out to the three, from the outside and has good moves around the rim. He could end up being a Ryan Rossiter type.... he is only going to get better as he is very well coached (Kevin Houston's brother Jerry).
I really liked what I saw.... he has offers from Siena, Fairfield, Fordham and Duquesne. We have showed interest as well as Yale and Colgate"
If you get a chance to watch any Rockland team next season... check out Spring Valley. Two really good players, both 2015, Kai Mitchell and Ricky McGill.
Mitchell was at Maroon Madness. Kai is a 6'6" power forward who has a sweet touch and impacts play at both ends.

Alex Kline @therecruitscoop 1h Iona is the latest to offer 2014 guard Corey Henson of Maryland.
6'1" Sharpshooting SG that can handle and penetrate. Henson has offers from Central Connecticut, Mount St. Mary’s, Navy and Robert Morris and is getting looks from Boston University, Bucknell, Harvard, Penn, Princeton and William & Mary . Very bright kid on and off the court. Was an honorable mention selection for the Washington All Catholic League awards.

Iona has offered Willem Brandwijk - 6'8" PF (2014) from the Netherlands and attends the Holderness School. The kid kicked ass at the Hoop Group Elite Camp and has also earned offers from Hofstra, Vermont, and Binghamton. He is a big that has speed and can jump. He is a big that can play inside or out. Can rebound well, drop the jumper as well as slam a dunk home. He has great hands and fills up the basket, Ranked as the 25th best prospect in New England he will climb up that list this year as he develops further.

Calvin Crawford (2014)- 6'8"PF has committed to Manhattan. Jon Rothstein @jonrothstein 6h Manhattan lands three 2014 commitments --- Calvin Crawford, Samson Usilo, and Sam Akilo. Good night for the Jaspers. Interesting since Manhattan not mentioned in your previous update about him. Just goes to show you how accurate those "experts" were: "Calvin Crawford (2014)- 6'8" PF is visiting Iona. He is a big who can rebound and finish in contact, is good at the transition and cleans up on put backs. . He is prepping next season at St. Thomas Moore (AJ English) after finishing his high school career at Valley Central High School where he averaged 23 points and nine rebounds per game. He plays AAU with the BC Eagles (Travis Cook and Shack Scott). He has offers from Quinnipiac, LIU, Canisius, Vermont, and Binghamton. He also has received interest from Fairfield, Niagara, Central Conn, FDU, Hofstra, Wagner, James Madison Marist, Siena and Albany."Had heard he would be a solid MAAC big.

Siena has also just offered Willem Brandwijk. See Above for info. Got to tell the kid that New York City was once New Amsterdam and it still hosts the Knickerbockers.

Iona has offered Mike Nzei, 6'8" SF from Nigeria and playing at Our Savior New American. He has also been offered by old Dominion, Iowa, St. Joe's and Hofstra. Great length but thin. Will probably project as an athletic combo forward. He can run the court, finish at the rim and shoot.
