Perhaps a two-tier arena at Iona?

I am ready to make a donation to get rid of that wire that is above each basket. It really seems like bush league when it causes a stop in the action all too often, when a missed shot bounces up and hits it.

Doesn't Fordham have it at Rose Hill too? I remember those yahooes used it to shake whatever rim we were shooting at oh so slightly. Believe the wire was connected to the wall on their side of the stands. One game we tipped Pat Kennedy to it who brought it to the attention of the refs .

I'd like to see the early season Iona Tournaments return....where 3 guest teams are invited. Winners play for the Championship on the second night and there is also a consolation game. You could have Iona play a team like Northeastern in game 1 and have LIU play Boston U.....setting up interesting day 2 matchups. Which 3 teams would you invite? (Be realistic)

this won't happen while cluess is here, he is right by tring to play higher caliber teams whether home or away. that tournament would kill our rpi every year

I think they may be keeping the wires in the event that Jimmy Connors makes a return with another tennis exhibition

I went to the Marist game and was duly impressed with Mc Cann. I thought it looked better than it does on TV. They could have done a better job with fan traffic flow coming in and out of the arena though. There are a couple of bad bottlenecks with the present layout, causing lines where there shouldn't be. If the sidelines seating was as high as the two end zones, it would really give Marist a first rate home court advantage.
