Playing like a tired team. Need some fresh bodies in there. Lot of mental mistakes. Lot of dropped passes.

Man Cluess is stubborn. We have anyone on the bench?

If we lose this game it's on Cluess. Sean looks exhausted. We got to have more than six guys right?

They found a way to win even though they did not look their best.

And lets not overestimate the letdown factor. They just played one of their best halves of the season at Canisius.

Last year we would have lost this game. They found a way to win even though the team played like crap.

Not a true buzzer beater (cjb that was what I was motioning to you), was tied and .07 left so doesn't qualify but it is one of closest we have ever had. I believe English will eventually be the first to hit a true buzzer beater in the last 40 years, he is simply clutch, not only the shot but the two free throws.
Gaels did everything they could to lose but still won, and this is making this Iona team very different from past years, they are finding ways to win and I'll take any win.
Armand's 3 turnovers in last few minutes were tough to stomach, but he did hit AJ with game winner.
I Gave credit to students for helping us win against Manhattan but they would be part of the blame if we lost this. No reason those who live on campus don't come to this game, heck they have no classes tomorrow, though that may have been announced during game.
Great coaching job by Dunne to almost steal that game.
Expect a more inspired effort Friday.

The AD has to come up with better ways to reach out to the students. Kids these days don't just flock to the games just because they are being played. Especially against a St Peters, who are known for a hard to watch style

When you're tired you make bad decisions and mental mistakes. Are we trying to win games or an iron man competition? Sean needs to rest at times. Everybody does.

Anyone ever remember a mid week game after the Buffalo trip?

Boy, this was not a fun game to watch, except for the last second shot. Team came out flat and stayed that way. The whole game was played at St. Peter's tempo, not the usual frenetic Iona pace. AJ was cold as ice (except for the final shot), and Sean's multiple turnovers nearly cost us this game. Laury and Poole were our best on the offensive end and Williams hit some clutch 3 point shots, but for the most part the guys lacked the movement and the crisp passing that we've come to expect. We are lucky that St. Peter's is somewhat offensively challenged and couldn't capitalize on our team's sloppiest game of the year. Hopefully this game will be a wake-up call to the team that they can't take any team lightly. One other positive: Laury's 10 for 14 free throw shooting.

Anyone ever remember a mid week game after the Buffalo trip? The year before last we played at Niagara on Sunday and at Denver on Wednesday.
