I thought we had a decent chance 2 years ago because of our #18 OOC RPI, all our road wins and our 6-2 road record in December. We also had 5 top 100 RPI wins. However I don't think we have much of a chance at all this year, we were 3-6 OOC, that is not going to get a mid major team in. Unfortunately we almost definitely need to win the maac tourney and should we not it will be very painful. Hey as Guy said Oldtimer has been right before when most of us were wrong but this time I think his heart is winning a battle over his head, and I know I am guilty of that often as well.

I had us dead and buried like 11 times during that season 2 years ago.

by the way, I agreed with OT 2 yrs ago for the at large One of the few. I thought no way. Hope springs eternal. Hopefully, we won't need it!!!

Once the "at large" thread was established and it seemed a number of other game outcomes were going our way (with teams of similar rpi's losing) on selection day I felt we had about a 70%+ chance to get a bid.

Its been hard for me at least because although my body has aged, my thoughts have remained young...I view this sport world as it was meant to be, a world of escapism...It costs nothing, but its gratification is great...I have lived through the time of the greatest sports world ever, from Babe Ruth, and Jesse Owens to todays stars...Its been quite a ride, and along the way, it has helped me ''ride the storms'' So....If at times my combative or my optimistic and sometimes unrealistic nature seeps through,......''Remember I am a sports fan, and that is its world.... Aside...So St. JOHN's took as predicted another shellacking in front of a sparse crowd at M.S.G. but their hopes of NCAA bid remain and yet there are those that that believe that somehow we are undeserving...
