Agreed. I will give this to 70. The bar has been set high now, and the expectations for next year should be that we're going to squeeze out a win or two in a solid but winnable OOC matchup, which is something that could've made the difference in an at large this year. I guess we are all in agreement here. No doubt. And I do think they need to make improvements on Defense. Not to make excuses, but I think the injuries did affect the plan they had going into the season, so they reverted to what has worked for them. That didn't help the defense/ Meanwhile La. Tech is making this game look a little like BYU - Iona. I will say that our defense statistically WAS better. But our defensive rebounding sucked and cost us often. And this was much due to Robinson and Hines.

Armand, AJ, Laury, Poole, Bowman, IW, Sledge, Gomez, Hines, Ellis. Assuming you're referring to just the QF game against Rider? Thought you meant to go with 10 man rotation all season. We should have played 10 guys. I'm not saying they all should play 10 min per game. But there is talent there that didn't see enough PT.

Only reason Hines didn't get more PT was because he wasn't 100% after the early season injury. Ellis on the other hand, is way too raw and presented too much of a risk to give meaningful minutes to. Back those two out and you have an 8 man rotation.

Rutgers refugee Derrick Randall - who we were involved with, averaged only 8 minutes at Pitt this past season.
Have to believe both he and Iona could've really benefitted each other this year.

I'm back....Lost without computer...As my son posted, he worked several hours to undo the mess I made of it...He is back in town...All family taking me out for dinner to celebrate my 89th birthday...Looking forward to the gathering, and my usual busting everybody's chops.....
Its a little late, but after looking at Louisiana Tech game from all angles, and watching them destroy a good Georgia team, it only confirmed that Iona was a pretty good team, and only missing a piece of the puzzle they needed to became a major factor at Tournament time...Taking into consideration, quality of opponent, hostility of area fans, travelling, inclination of Refs to favor home team, (I must say Refs were fair} etc. it was probably Iona's best played game of the year, and I was proud that in no way were they intimidated...
This bodes well for the coming season, which I look forward to with great anticipation...

La Tech down 3 late at FSU. Doing a great job rebounding, but struggling with some put backs. On the line for 2, down 3 with about 5 mins left.
