Stony Brook loss likely pushes us up a spot in the NIT s curve. Think we will land as a 5 seed.

Vermont won their league so stony brook doesn't affect us, but we are 5 already in NIT bracketology.

www.sports-ratings.com/basketball/dance-chance-ncaa-tracker.htmlThis site has us in. Only one out of 100 compiled in the bracket matrix site. At a closer look they think we won our tourney. They do have us as a 7% chance like the other site mentioned earlier. And I have a 7% chance of winning lotto tonight. If we got in there would be an uproar that has never been seen before by any at large, we would absolutely have to win an NCAA game for it to go away, you could actually argue it would be a negative to our program if we did get in and not win the play in. This is not going to happen but it's interesting to speculate. Also looks like all these upsets could push Manhattan to a 12 seed. They are set for a lot of publicity this week being the only NYC team in the tourney, I am big time jealous! If they end up in the sweet sixteen in MSG it would result in momentum for their program that may be hard for us to catch up to.

Joe, it doesn't have us in, click on the matrix to see who they have in, we are under discussion and crossed out It shows 100 sites and has us in 1 of the 100, but as I pointed out that is a mistake by that site which has us getting the auto bid.

We should save this thread and repost it next season when we lose games in December to OOC opponents and everyone says those games are meaningless. If we would've beaten Cleveland state and UNI we would be dancing right now.

If we win the two games you are mentioning we probably have an RPI in the 30's. The program has to shoot for a chance at an at large every year, we see just how hard it is to win 3 in 3 days, we need to have a chance if we don't, especially now playing the tourney at Siena. An at large is not what it used to be, it is do able for a program like Iona and Cluess is not afraid to shoot for it, unfortunately we didn't play well enough in those games this year to have a legitimate chance.

I hope our opponent is someone we've never played or haven't played in decades.
That said, it probably won't happen and we'll be playing at Maryland Tues or Weds.

Hopefully we don't get screwed on seeding. By any criteria you go by we should be no lower than a 5. Would be nice to squeeze a 3 or 4 seed and see at least one more home game for our seniors.
