super, why the hate towards tony, he built the foundation for the program. Wow--you have a knack for turning other's words into yours. Previously, I mentioned that we weren't getting "much early respect" from LA Tech fans. You turned that it into my saying "disrespect." Major difference. Now it's "hates toward Tony" when I merely suggested his staff stop tweeting former players. It's inappropriate, smacks of tampering, and is unnecessarily distracting. When one leaves any job, my suggestion is always: move on. Don't hang on. These young women were struggling getting used to a new coach who needed to retain them for the credibillity of the program. She did a great job. BTW, in case you were wondering, I have been and remain a fan of Tony's.

He's already doing a great job over there and I wish him much success.

Women had a great (overachieving) year. New coach/system--good first year result, including retaining key players/staff. Good recruits coming in. Future is bright here too! (Hope the tweets from across the river diminish this year. MYOB--an unnecessary distraction.) Wouldn't call it overachieving. There's a lot of talent on that team, much of it staying and more coming in!

He's already doing a great job over there and I wish him much success. I need to clarify a bit here. My source, and I have no reason to not believe him, tells me that Tony did not tweet his former players. As I stated, Tony is a great guy and I don't believe he would do anything detrimental to his former players or Iona. I know there were a few congratulatory tweets from across the river after the Marist win, but don't recall any from Tony. I'm not sure of the protocol here, but I am guessing you would want to keep contact to a minimum. I would not be upset about congratulating the team after breaking a 29 game losing streak to Marist, but I guess if it went beyond that it might be something else. Again, I am not aware of Tony doing this.
