Frankie O'Shea was before my time, but I did follow the Iona teams of O'Hagan, O'Shea, Distanaslaio, Manny Kennedy (first negro player I believe) and Jack Walsh. I never saw them play, but followed them in the Daily Argus. I got to see O'Hagan play for the Tuckahoe Hose Company (Semi Pro) against the Ralph Branca All Stars, in the late forties. As for the NBA, I KNOW that Guerin, Santini, Ruland, Burtt, Sr., Green played. And if you count PS, you can add Machado, and Walsh. Hamilton, and Springer were drafted, but not sure if they got any PT. Who am I missing? How good was Santini? I know ha had a very brief NBA career.
