Any word on who on our current roster is playing in the local Summer Leagues such as Dyckman and Hoops in the Sun? Hopefully some take the opportunity so we have a chance to see them play. Would be great to see some of our former players playing alongside current players. Love the fact that these leagues are still relevant and help to promote the local talent.

Hoops in the Sun (HITS) and Dyckman have started play, but I cannot find scores or summaries noting who is playing. Anybody have news of former or current players who are playing so we can follow?

HITS started yesterday. Dyckman was supposed to start last week - but the rain and lights were problematic. So, Dyckman and Rucker start up tonight. I'll be at both frequently, so I'll drop some tidbits when I collect them.

endwee, thank you for being our Man about the Town. It will be nice to have firsthand information versus the tweets from individuals. Any word on who is playing where?

As a guy ( Not that Guy) who is a thousand miles from the action, anyone else concerned that this is a risky move by Sean as he gets so close to the Draft. I have finally found the courage to verbalize this here. Because of the way he developed his game, I think he is the most NBA ready Gael in a long time - not saying he makes the NBA.

I think it is hard to predict. Love his shot and the progress with his handle. I think size may be an issue but it is a tough call. I get where you are coming from.

Rashad James and the Sacramento Kings play tonight at 6 I believe to kick off their summer league, and Scott Machado and the Toronto Raptors play at 10. Both games should be available somewhere on the internet, I haven't looked into it.

No PT for Machado today.[/quote] Much as we are fans of Iona players who served us well, there comes a time when we must have a reality check.......I will still be rooting for them, but at the same time understand which way the cards are stacked... Machado.......A half step to slow...A mediocre offensive game to say the least, and not up to NBA par...Has added and shown little but journey man talent when surrounded by superior talent...I wish him well, but forsee a career overseas.. James.........Perhaps asking to much for a part time college player to jump to a Pro Level...Has eye popping athletic ability which overmatches rest of his game...To his credit he as worked hard which may lead to also overseas value... Armand.....Jury still out, but time running short...NBA shooter, but is it enough to overcome some short comings that will hinder that hope...A good example of a exaggerated height somewhat stunting his career...IMO best chance of three to elevate his possibilities... I am fully aware of those that may be insulted by these opinions, but I have been around long enough to understand the demands of the Pro World, and have been disappointed along with the hopes of many Iona players who were just or more capable then our present group.....
