Much as we are fans of Iona players who served us well, there comes a time when we must have a reality check.......I will still be rooting for them, but at the same time understand which way the cards are stacked... Machado.......A half step to slow...A mediocre offensive game to say the least, and not up to NBA par...Has added and shown little but journey man talent when surrounded by superior talent...I wish him well, but forsee a career overseas.. James.........Perhaps asking to much for a part time college player to jump to a Pro Level...Has eye popping athletic ability which overmatches rest of his game...To his credit he as worked hard which may lead to also overseas value... Armand.....Jury still out, but time running short...NBA shooter, but is it enough to overcome some short comings that will hinder that hope...A good example of a exaggerated height somewhat stunting his career...IMO best chance of three to elevate his possibilities... I am fully aware of those that may be insulted by these opinions, but I have been around long enough to understand the demands of the Pro World, and have been disappointed along with the hopes of many Iona players who were just or more capable then our present group..... [/quote] Mostly a summary of many prior posts. IMO Sean must be able to play the point at an NBA level to have a chance. That is asking a lot.

Scott posted on Facebook "feeling like crap" which might explain the zero playing time. Don't think he'd post that if it was because of the zero PT.

There we go. Great game for Ra. Leading scorer for Kings in a win yesterday. Congrats!

Machado with more minutes today but another poor performance. Get the passport ready.

Agree Scott has been playing bad. His PIE is a -3.5 right now and he's averaging 5 TO's a game. On the other hand Rashad James had another opportunity last night and didn't score but played a good all around game. Read a interview about how the kings think Rashad will benefit from another year in the D-League to develop his offensive game more and think that he compete for one of the final roster spots next year.

Gio McLean, heading to Quinny, had 50 the other night at Dyckman. I have a feeling he is going to give us 2 years of headaches. Incredible scorer!

I heard that a 34 year old player in the Pro City passed away due to complications related to heart attack at a game recently. I believe Baruch College did not have a defibrillator, which shocks me if it is true. I hope all MAAC schools have this important base covered immediately.

I would be shocked if an AED (automatic External Defibrillator) was not available. Absolutely tragic if that was the case. Here in New Hampshire all the high schools that we had basketball games at had AED's. I know because I always asked where they were located just in case. Every year you hear of "saves" due to the use of an AED or CPR. Back in 80's Hank Gathers of Loyola Marymount would likely have been saved if an AED was in the gym when he collapsed. I strongly urge everyone to take a CPR/AED class through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association. You never know when it might come in handy. I would expect that most public arenas/gyms used by MAAC teams have an AED readily visible somewhere hear the entrance. Some Police Departments are carrying AED's because quite often they are first on scene. The cost of the units has come down over the years and they can be rented also, saving on maintenance.

In fact I remember one incident where a Police Officer actually had a mild heart attack, and had to be transported to the hospital in the same ambulance as the original victim....
