Finally got medical clearance from my Fantasy Football team doctors to resume full posting activities, not only for FF, but Iona basketball as well. And just in time as real football TC's open this week and Iona pick up games are in full swing. It's been a tough couple of months for my wife (a month in the hospital and rehab) and to a lesser (much lesser) extent, myself. But coward that I am, I must admit doctors talking about cysts and an aneurysm did get my attention, but the words, "no surgery required" was a BIG relief.
And even though I wasn't posting, I was reading and I continue to be amazed by Iona86's info on recruits. Just amazing. But I must say that the biggest chuckle I got was how much credence ichoops' post about the possible transfer from Memphis, received. Only the Oldtimer showed the voice of reason. But even he gave ichoops too much credit, saying that his posts always have a 'colonel' of truth. Well no one appreciates ichoops more than I do, but my evaluation would have been a 'corporal' of truth. But spurred on by OT's trip to the HAC, I spent two hours, yesterday, watching Iona bb. My observations will have to wait a couple of hours, as chores continue to interfere with my schedule.
And while not BB related, but definitely Iona related. It looks like we've lost one of our top athletes, unless the Women's X-C roster has a misprint, as it fails to show Maya Rehberg, our top Women's runner, not named Kate Avery. Does anyone know if she transferred or simply returned home to Germany? As a rising sophomore, she would have been an outstanding member of the X-C team.
It's good to be back.
