Great scoop Guy. Really like this kid. Too bad he's not hardship candidate.

Great news.
Sounds like a perfect fit for TC's uptempo system.
Too bad we couldn't get him for this year.

iona05, he looks like a player, and if he approaches the skill level of Mike Glover and DLIII, he would assure Iona of continuing at or near the top of the MAAC for years to come. I guess what I'm saying is that it's probably better that we get him next year rather than this year. At least that is how I see it. This is indeed the return of the Golden era of Gael BB, bringing back memories of the Valvano/Kennedy years. Walking out of the HAC with Bessick, one of our coaches turned and gave me a thumbs up, and while I wasn't sure we had him (or even who he was), I did see it as a sign of good news.

Solid Pickup.....great timing...will replace DL3[/quote] Tiger... The jury should still be out on Bessick...He was highly touted out of High School...His freshman year was somewhat disappointing...He slowly lost playing time...His Soph. year was not much better...He averaged about 5-6 points a game...His rebounding numbers were relatively high considering reduced playing time.... Whether he was not the player expected or whether his performance derived from the way he was asked to play is the question........... If asked to replace DL might be asking for repeat trouble...I have full confidence in Cluess and his skill in dealing with it... Lets all hope that the year off will clear his head and that he fills the promise heralded...

OK, I know everyone was waiting for this post, so if for some reason he doesn't play well then are we all going to Bessick?

he averaged 5-6 points a game on a team that only scores 62-63 points a game ...and that's why he wants out ....he doesn't want to play with his back to the basket In a slow tempo offense.... he might not become as good as glover or DL3 ..But he could/should be solid scorer rebounder..8-12 points a game and 7-8 boards a game

Is it Tyler or Taylor? I've seen it both ways.

He gives us size, and enables us to go after Kai Mitchell, a 6'5, 250 lb. player from Spring Valley, who is under sized but plays bigger. The two of them would give us a physical front line.
