Lady Gael off to another good start in recruiting. A tweet from All-star Girls report say Iona received a commitment from Alexis Lewis from Holy Redeemer in Pennsylvaia's Wyoming County. The 5-10 wing, who is working at becoming a point guard, scored 40 points on four occasions. She averaged 27 points a game and 14 rebounds. Dad was a second round NBA draft pick in 1989.

Iona gets another commit in Treyanna Clay, one of the top players in Arizona. In her junior year at Cienega High in Tucson, Trey, forward, averaged 13.4 points a game, 6.9 boards and 2.9 steals. Another big get for the Lady Gael.

The Women have landed a transfer from Texas Tech, Marina Herrera. Marina is a 5'8 guard from Madrid, Spain. As a frosh at Texas Tech, she averaged 5.1 pts, with a career high of 18 points, against Arizona State. She'll sit out this year and have three years of eligibility. She's played on the Spanish U20 and U18 teams.

jb, sorry for not replying sooner. I really know nothing about Ashley Martin, other than Guy's tweet that she had a recent visit to Iona, and according to her AAU coach, that the visit went really well. Also, I believe she's a '16 recruit.
