A friend sent me this web site for a JC in Florida where a former Iona assistant coach is now working. According to him 7 more rows of seating would bring the capacity of this arena to 4,200-4,400! Dare to Dream - Go Gaels! www.nwfraiders.com/athletics/facilties/gallery

Dare to Dream - Go Gaels! www.nwfraiders.com/athletics/facilties/galleryVery nice. Looks like half that structure is below grade, a "pit-like" design Iona would need to contemplate to conform with the main campus residential zoning - which I believe is 3 stories (35 feet).

Nyre was able to persuade NR City officials to permit a 7 story residence hall on North Avenue. His ability to collaborate with the City is refreshing and may open up more possibilities.

Super, across the street on North Ave. is commercial zoning - should be no problem putting something up there.
I'm presuming a renovation on the current Mulcahy/Hynes footprint.
Maybe an entirely new structure someplace across the street is an easier path?

It's just too easy in this thread. Maybe I can help here: When you're already known as IJC, the last thing you want to post is JUCO arenas as some sort of goal to emulate.
C'mon guys, we have to think bigger if we're going to get into the A10. SPU thinks this is low budget.
GO GAELS!!!!!

WSP... C'mon man. You hurt our feelings when you spew negative vibes like that. It's bad Karma bro.... and we're all fully aware of how enlightened you are. It's also not very nice and I feel an apology is in order. We can't all have attended THE Siena College (aka the Harvard of Albany)... your admissions policy is far to stringent for us simple folk.
Alas, we can only dream of becoming the world leaders and captains of industry that your fine institution of higher learning produces year in and year out. We often contemplate "What might have been" had we only had the I.Q. points to be considered for your alma mater.
BTW... can you please spell chack dis for me? Grammar was never a reqwired course during my time in New Roc City.
Your Humble Servant, Norma Stitz "Typical Gael Fan"

WP in his favorite hang-out - Haight Ashbury You say that like there is something wrong with it. I would think you would find enlightenment with Mike Sam bringing his love to your front door. Then again, years and years of bigotry is hard to change... right, goal club? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using proboards

He is welcome through my front door, but he prefers your back door.

I Think you have some soul searching and self discovery to do there WSP. I saw no reason to reference Michael Sam here unless you are so narrow minded and homophobic to view the culturally diverse and wonderfully creative "Haight Ashbury" area of San Fran as exclusively gay. I've never seen it as such. I'm appalled by your complete insensitivity... and a little disappointed in you WSP. You're better than that man. You're rapidly turning into the "Archie Bunker" of these boards. Stop the hate! ...and NO on 8!

You're rapidly turning into the "Archie Bunker" of these boards. Stop the hate! ...and NO on 8! Unfortunately, you lack the historical context of SLG's pattern of bigotry, so the inference is justified. The Haight is not exclusively gay at all. SLG was looking for the Castro (which isn't exclusively gay either)...but based on the sheer numbering references and jokes he's directed at me, it's clear where he was going. But I do apologize if he was calling me wonderfully creative. But I do see the light now... Thank you! Like the child I am, knowing SLG can't control his compulsion to not respond to my posts, I've often tooled with him for my own amusement. This is cruel and I am so very sorry. Please accept my humble apology. Go Gaels!!!! Sent from my ASUS PadFone X using proboards
