Thanks, OT.
Hey ic59, don't confuse this 65 yr old "modern-ager" with an oldtimer!
Super........By your posts, see you also enjoyed Golf...Would have loved to play a round or two with you...What you might have had to put up with though... In my younger days once missed a two footer on the 3rd hole at Saxon Woods for birdie...I was furious and flipped my putter up in the air as high as I could throw it...It got stuck between two of the trees highest branches......For the next 25 years or so we could see it up there, and the tree was known as ''The Moose's Tree'', My knick name being ''The Moose'' One day in my early sixties after putting out, we no longer saw the putter up in the tree as it must have finally fallen...We had a brief fair well ceremony, and wished the fellow who found it better luck and many happy birdie putts with it...It turned out to be the best birdie putt I ever missed, as we had a laugh for the next 25 years every time we played the hole.....I'll bet the person who found the club thought somebody had just left it on the green, instead of its 25 year hiatus high above the green...
OT--arrived at golf too late--should have played when I had opportunities much earlier. Knew I was in trouble and needed a new recreational sport when I showed up at a senior slow break recreation basketball league and 2 guys could still dunk. We all have our golf stories. (I hit a ball which got caught in some Spanish moss in a tree.) Two weeks ago, I hit a ball off the tee short into a pond on a 175 yard par 3. My next shot went into the hole. Great par--horrible hole-in-one!

Practice can begin 42 days before your 1st game...That would make the date for us as you heard Oct. 3rd...Our 1st game being Nov. 14th... Anticipation?......

On a side note, most of my key October dates went pretty much the same way as the dates went the other 11 months. Which is to say not well.
