We all know that Iona has received two commitments, McGill and Mitchell, but this, in recent years, seems to be the exception rather than the rule. Could someone who has a better memory or is more computer savy go back a few years and see how many of the guys that we were talking about (at this time of year) actually ended up a Gael? My feeling that most of our recruits were usually off the radar until they verbal led or signed.

Does anyone know if any recruits will be at Iona, tonight or tomorrow?

MoMo-Cluess has a real tough job to try to keep everyone happy with MoMo here. You can see he has tremendous talent but you can also see he will have moments that will drive you nuts. I think we are going to see a lot of good Momo vs Bad MoMo. He won't fit in as easy as Glover did. I am hoping his experience and leadership will be worth it in March. Two other comments, he seemed to rebound well for a little guy and he looks like a great free throw shooter.
Scott and Glover-Not anything new to say here. We will see how Scott will learn to play with MoMo. I think MoMo's penetration ability is really going to help Glover get even more easy looks.
Jenkins-Nothing is wrong with his hand. He will be a big part of this team. Cluess will have trouble taking him off the floor.
Smyth-Also looks fine. What a quick shot he has. A hard nose winner. It will be tough to get him off the floor as well.
Armand-Has tremendous offensive ability. A few times I said to myself he is definitely the best offensive guard on the team. Going to be hard not to start him. I think trying to keep 2 of of the 3 3 point shooters (Smyth, Armand and jenkins) on the floor at the same time will make this team very hard to defend. By his senior year he will be Maac player of the year.
Rashad James-tremendous althlete, didn't appear to be a great shooter. I think when he gets his minutes it will be at the 4 or as a defensive stopper. With all these guards he will have to earn his minutes. I don't think he'll start unless he can start at the 4.
Randy D-Which leads me to randy. Surprise, Surprise I think he will start at the 4. He was all over the place. Seemed a step quicker than almost everyone and he has a little more size than james which I think will give him the edge. He has another gear that blows by people and he can rebound a bit. Will be a tremendous asset when the team presses. Basically I think he is going to be a much bigger part of this team than last year and then people expected.
Diggs-Not a true big man. Has size but looked more comfortable taking a 3, which he could hit. I think he is going to have to fight to get minutes. Did not look like a big rebounder as I had hoped. Looked like a raw juco.
Gomez-My next positive surprise. He is Iona's only true big man(outside Glover). He is a defensie presence. Not as skinny as I thought he would be. He was giving glover trouble. I think he will get minutes simply because he will be needed against teams with size and looks like he can handle them. O needs work but he has potential.
Ridley-Not on floor. May have been the kid in the walking boot. Anxious to see how he will fot in.
Fields-Wasn't there. Was he at Maroon Madness? Wondering if he is still on team?
Kristian D-Looked hurt, not in uniform.
How Cluess is going to work everyone in will be very interesting. He has one tough job, but I guess that is the kind of problems you want. I do think Iona's lack of size is going to result in some problems in certain games especially if Glover gets hurt or in foul trouble. I can see some 5 guard sets.
This will be one interesting year!

This will be one interesting year! Thanks CJB for giving my old post some recognition but I think IC59 is asking about potential recruits and not players on the team. I think my post shows you can get some knowledge from Meet the Gaels, but my analysis of Gomez was really off!
