Just a guess, but I think that these dates mean we'll have an intra-squad scrimmage/practice the weekend of 10/25-26.

A question about 'leaking' the results. I know schools/coaches can't do it. But what about the players tweeting?

They're not supposed to post results on them either.

Guy, thanks. Next question. Since results almost always seem to get out, who, most often, leak the results?

If we win easily there will be nothing ref. the game.... If we lose, or happen to have a hard game the Siena site will explode in glee.. They may be delusional, but they do have pretty good information ferrets... I feel confident that I will know the result before the Iona bus reaches home...

I'm curious how teams pick other teams to scrimmage. Why Albany or St. Francis? Tactical reasons? Convenience? Style of play?

ctbill, good question. I don't have an answer, but if I get the opportunity, I'll ask at MTC on Thursday night.

Style of play?[/quote IMO Availability , Convenience and Travel time are the controlling factors.......The Coaches would love a full table of other mentioned options, but with a very narrow field to select from, they cannot be choosy.... Albany and St. Fran. have pretty good lower level teams this year who will give us a good test...

I've seen some reports that St. Francis will be tough this year.

I've seen some reports that St. Francis will be tough this year.[/quote] 18-14 last year.....Not much height...Leading player is a 6-6 center...He is very good scorer and rebounder...Very tough to play at their home box court...Beat a good MAAC (Canisius) team there last year......Former Iona player BEN MOCKFORD who was their 2nd leading scorer graduated... Been their a few times over the years...If I remember, their court was a band box that held no more then 1500, and I thought I was entering a apartment building basement...

One question, and the answer will probably be, why would you want to? And my reply would be, just to get a better feel of where he stacks up in the TC offense. But, first the question:
Is Taylor Bessick eligible to play in the closed scrimmages?

But, first the question: Is Taylor Bessick eligible to play in the closed scrimmages? Not 100% sure on scrimmages, but I know he's not permitted to accompany the team for road games.
