Something tells me the 1 course Walker took at WCC, is 1 more than he would've taken at Florida A&M.

Didn't McLean at Quinny just transfer from there?

86, thanks. An interesting story, and while I'm just guessing, I have been surprised by the lack of interest that we have expressed in WCC players, and this might be a reason.
And a suggestion. Could we change the title of this thread to College Basketball and post items/articles that don't refer to Iona per se, but do refer to College BB, like the above article? If so I'd like to add a couple of snippets.
*A few days ago Hofstra opened a beautiful practice facility for its Mens and Womens BB teams. Saw pix on someone's tweet. And yesterday they announced that they beat out Manhattan and Seton Hall for a PG, Desure Blue (Sp?). We were involved with him until Ricky McGill committed. And this facility will certainly help Joe Mihalich recruiting efforts.
*In the next couple of weeks Syracuse will appear before the NCAA's Infractions Committee, which is investigating academic problems. With the problems at North Carolina, the ACC's reputation is taking a hit. Expect to see them roll out Coach K. for some positive spin.
*Just saw a Bleacher Report on the Top Ten Offensive Minds in College BB. It includes Tim Cluess (they say the second s is for scoring). A real coup for TC, as other coaches in the Top Ten, include Coach K and John Calipari. The writeup on TC does take a couple of shots at the MAAC as being a weak Conference. But, while BR didn't report it, but two of the other coaches named were former MAAC coaches, Fran McCaffrey and John Beilien.
*Like the Ad says, "If you see something, post something".

I changed the thread name but Guy has got to pin it.

Dear all just a personal note to let you know that I am boycotting college football due to the greed that's led to conference realignment and as a result, imperiled college basketball. To fill the void I am watching more soccer on Saturdays when I can and am looking forward to watching the US play the New Zealand All Blacks next Saturday in Rugby.

Even the Fordham fans ridicule this guy's articles as pure propaganda for Pecora and the program. Guy's a shill.

I guess with a name like the New Zealand team, Daniel Synder could have it worse!

Just read, on the Siena board, a MAAC/Siena preview by one of the Albany media guys, Robert Lee aka The General. He tries to calm the faithful that they should dampen their forecast of 20-25 wins and an NCAA bid, by reminding them that Siena has LOST 42 GAMES over the past two seasons. Is that so? I did recall they finished their MAAC season with a losing record (15-18?), but completely forgot the 24 losses in the prior season. Lee makes a good point that a team that has many players returning, makes the assumption that those players will be better, with the extra year's experience. How much, if any, improvement will depend on what the guys did, on their own, during the offseason.
MTS, super sized Siena fan, at least has Iona moving in the right direction. Despite forecasting a combined 15 MAAC losses for Iona and Manhattan, he has increased his view that Iona has four, up from three, very good players. I don't know who the fourth, his take, player is. He sees us as not having much behind our top three/four. While I disagree, I don't dismiss him out of hand, as he SPENDS LOTS OF TIME, reading the various boards. Something to talk about. A lesson for all, assuming we have the season that I think we'll have, that it doesn't matter who you lose, but who you return. And it makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE when you have a coaching staff, with a proven track record to recruit good players.

[MTS is an imbecile.[/quote] GUY Of the dozen and dozen of MAAC season predictions Iona's selection as No.1 is the overwhelming favorite...In game by game predictions there is about a third selection of Siena and Iona to split their games... MTS is the only selector to predict that Siena will win both games...That is a selection that comes from hatred, envy and hope, and not from rational thought... That sums up as DELUSIONAL in addition to IMBECILE...
