CSU should be a solid mid-major team and contend for the Horizon League this year based on headlines, but just looking at it on paper, seems like we match up favorably against them. Grady vs. DL3 should be an excellent match-up BTW. Also, Lewis is strong, so that should be a good showdown between him and AJ.

...also no mismatch issue for Casimir in his D1 debut.

Correction on the CSU starting lineup. Looks like they played an exhibition against D3 Malone last night and went with the following lineup. Seems like they went small. Would imagine that this will be their starting 5 on Friday night:

interesting game. both teams strong at guard. In my opinion game might be decided by who wins the Laury/Grady matchup and not sure if they have anybody to guard IW. Should be a very good game. I expect Cleveland St. to be a top 100 team. Would be a nice win to start the season.
I am still not sure who TC starts with AJ, DL and IW.
Very tough to figure out who the starting 5 will be. Doesn't seem like Amayo is 100% healthy yet, doesn't seem like Dublin has impressed in pre-season. Should be interesting.
Vinny Zollo sounds familiar. wasn't Iona a finalist out of HS?
He had committed to Kentucky as a freshman in high school, but they had a parting of the ways and he ended up at WKU. When he left them he narrowed his list to Iona and Furman but chose Furman. He never played for them and ended up at Northwest Florida State J.C.. From there he ended up at CSU.

Thanks I86, I knew he sounded familiar. I remember now he announced his pick on a personal video blog he created. sounds like a long winding road to get to Cleveland St. hope it works out for him, but starting after the Iona game
Six Questions: 1. Starters-Big Three, Casimir and Dublin. It's possible that Hinds starts over Dublin, so I wouldn't be surprised if he did. However, if and it's an IF Casimir starts then TC will opt for experience at the PF rather than going with inexperience at two positions. 2. Status of Kelvin Amayo. I don't think he has injury issues, but rather condition issues. After reading the article on the Big Apple Buckets site, I'm thinking that TC will bring him off the bench, with 20 minutes being the under or over number. 3. Casimir at PG. I've seen him enough to think that he can score, but can he run an offense? Looking for four assists and a positive A/TO ratio. 4. Rebounding. Looks like CSU has many big bodies, and can we keep the rebounding numbers close? Besides DL will someone else pull down seven or more boards? Since CSU is playing on the road, you'd have to think that they won't shoot as well as if it were a home game, leading to more defensive rebounding opportunities. Might be a preview of who gets more PT between Dublin and Hines. 5. Ellis vs. Bebis. Their games are similar, as both seem to be perimeter players. I see it as a battle between Ellis having the better three point shot and Bebis being more experienced. And I base his experience on the fact that Bebis has played many more games in the PAST TWO YEARS, even though at a lower level. 6. The spread. For the most part, I agree with Ctbill, and would put the over/under at seven.
