Ken Pomeroy has us ranked pre-season #71, best in the MAAC with no other team below 100. Manhattan is second at #116. League is ranked 16th overall, with no team ranked below #300.

POMEROYS rating has put Siena fans into a frenzy........
Albany 150 Siena 158
Under these figures, a posting appears with these big red letters ''NFW'' I figured out what I think they stand for...Can you?
As a Desk Officer under certain circumstances I had to put a prisoner under suicide watch...If the season does not turn out to Siena fans wild expectations, they might have to put the entire town of Loudonville NY under such a watch........

I'm not saying that I always agree with Ken Pom, but he does seem to put a lot of analysis into his opinions. As opposed to those who put a lot of opinion into their analysis.

OT, if the Siena faithful wasn't on suicide watch already, they probably should be, considering Jon Rothstein's take on the MAAC, after seeing Siena practice. "Iona and Manhattan are clearly the favorites".

To be fair, I don't think these are Pomeroy's "opinions" as much as results from his mathematical formulae. NY Buckets takes Pomeroy a step further, with a MAAC focus: www.nycbuckets.com/2014/10/10000-maac-edition/

Guy, I might not have said it very well, but as you posted, his "end result" is based on stats/math and NOT opinions.

fan sided has us ranked #4 with Sledge as our PG. They have FGCU as #3 and CSU at #10. CSU is led (according to fan sided) by Bryn Forbes, who I believe has transferred. But real, positive press that we are recognized as a national, mid-major power.
