Good thread for this time of year, imo. Hope everyone contributes to keep the flow of information coming. Have to think most of our OOC foes are in action tonight. Wofford @ Stanford is late on the West Coast.

We could have some track meets with both teams.

Wofford lost at Stanford 74-59 Watched a good portion of the game. Wofford is a well coached, gritty, scrappy team. They hung with Stanford for the first 18 minutes and then the "big" for Stanford wore them down. I expect DL to have a huge game on Tuesday as I don't believe Wofford has anyone who can cover him. #14 is a nice player for Wofford. Versatile mid size player and a solid defender. Nice to see Tim O'Toole sitting on the Stanford bench next to Johnny Dawkins. Went to Stepinac with him and played hoop against him in grammar school. Where have all the years gone?

Florida Gulf Coast not impressive in a 63-51 home win against Div. II Nova Southeastern. Manhattan shoots only 28.6% and loses at Florida State 81-66. Canisius with a nice win at home versus Vermont 64-60. 24 points and 6 boards for Phil Valenti.

Watched the Manhattan game on Espn3. Brutal announcers. Manhattan looked good on D. Putrid on offense overall. Yet, Pankey and Richards looked good. Lawrence was a complete non-factor. Looked like he did at Cincy...bored. Jasper's cannot shoot a lick other than Richards. We should Zone all day.

endwee, we'll have to zone, probably, because of Manhattan's size. Richards will kill us when we do. A chess match.

Manhattan's guard play was pretty bad. telling stat. 8 assists and 21 turnovers. plus a ridiculous 80 FT'S in the game.

["]Wofford lost at Stanford 74-59[/quote]Watched as they hung with Stanford for the first 18 minutes and then the "big" for Stanford wore them down Resumeman.....I had seen a late west coast score that had the Stanford--Wofford score as listed something like 113-95...With that I predicted our coming game to be high scoring ...I thought at the time the score was unusual...As yours seems the more rational, I'll change my guess to 76-65 Iona with spread at about 4-6 Iona...... A real ''Early Bird special''
