IW is one of the most talented yet unheralded players in the MAAC. On a team infamous for poor defense, he is easily our best defender, hounding other players and using his speed and armspan to disrupt our opponents and block shots from behind. I truly enjoy watching him display his talents and hope he continues to play more of an offensive role, especially since his shooting percentage this year is outstanding.

Yeah he is invaluable to this team. Does all the little things you need to win. Winning teams need Guys like IW desperately. Glue guy is a good description, but in my opinion he's just a winner.

glue guy might be cutting him short, if he wasn't so unselfish and a total player we would be talking about him, then laury, then english, the best all around game on the team

Agree. He's having an All MAAC first team season. Beyond glue for sure.

Beyond glue for sure.[/quote] Williams, English and Laury are different type players...They add with their different contributions each a needed dimension to the teams makeup....They compliment each other..... Any discussion as to whom is the most valuable is difficult question to determine... IMO the loss of any one them would leave us as another mid pack MAAC team.....

I love guys like IW. Another guy can have 29 pts in a big game and in the last minute with the score tied IW is the guy in position for an offensive put back or jam to win the game, or defensive deflection. Right place, right time, knows what to do type of guy. I'd call it professional.

I see Ibn as the glue guy on our team. IW is the maestro. How often has IW adjusted his game this year to what was needed in that game, and even within a game - see Rider?

I believe he took 19 shots--many more than normal for him; went to the hoop twice and has begun to do that more often; 2 thunderous put-back dunks ignited the team and crowd. On top of that--he's a great kid!

Congrats to IW. Really doesn't get the recognition he deserves, at least from the media. He should be right in the discussion with DL and AJ at the end of the season for 1st team ALL-MAAC with the season he is having

Well deserved. He was the MVP in the Canisius game, doing so much that won't show up in the stat sheet.

Well deserved. He was the MVP in the Canisius game, doing so much that won't show up in the stat sheet. And a lot that did: Points, Rebounds, Assists and no T/O
