Well Bill may be upset. Maybe Duke will think its a road game instead of a home game or vice versa and fail to show up? You never know There is a site out there that aggregates all the bracketology websites/predictions and gives teams a composite seeding. I'll look for it later and post it. Wake hanging tough!

We're back in Lunardi's bracket. Currently as a 13 seed.

We're back in Lunardi's bracket. Currently as a 13 seed. Link? Unless I did somethink wrong I think ESPN just made bracketology part of their ESPN insider package, so you now have to pay to view it. CBS is free and we are a 13 playing VCU. Also I really hadn't looked at the quality of 12-14 teams until now and it looks like mid majors are having a down year. We are easily a 13 and unlikely to be a 14. Also there does appear to be a chance at a 12 but based on how in the past the committee has viewed teams with no quality wins I would say a 13 is much much more likely.

Good stuff Joebird. Other 4 seeds on this list are Seton Hall, Lville and Wichita. All would be intriguing matchups for different reasons.

There is a huge difference between 3 and 4 seeds and also the bottom two 4 seeds seem much worse than the top 2. I was excited after seeing this. If we can get the NCAA bid and avoid a matchup against the top 14-15 teams in the country the game may very well be winnable.

Lunardi has us as the 3rd best 13 behind Wofford and Wyoming, and ahead of Bowling Green. We are number 51 on his "S" curve and would play number 15 VCU.
Edit: Sorry we would play number 14 North Carolina.

Infuriated me so much I tweeted him and got a response. He says we lost by double digits to Arkansas and Wofford and lost to Monmouth and G Mason, all true but he has to look at entire resume. But this does show how the no quality wins and our big loss margins will hurt us with some committee members, although I realize this guy probably has zero knowledge of mid majors and is not a typical committee member. Edit-Just tweeted me that he will revisit next week.

Edit-Just tweeted me that he will revisit next week. Come on Joe don't get all freaked out. Look at it on the bright side, if we were to knock off USC Upstate in the play in game, it would be pretty damn epic if our first tourney win was as a 16 slaying a 1! Virginia to boot would make amends for that one point loss back in the 1984. That would be better than 50 Joebird specials! On a separate note, I feel the bracket matrix is much more accurate at projecting seeding at this point of the season. In about a month, I'll start tracking Lunardi and Palm as they are pretty good at sorting out rankings, etc. This years Iona team feels like a 14. Would need a few lower conference championship upsets to move up to a 13. Without the quality out of conference win, a 12 does not seem realistic.
