As I posted in IW injury thread his Instagram says he is out 4-6 weeks with a fractured foot. Hopefully he heals ok and will be back for the last weekend of the regular season. That could be enough time to salvage the 1 seed and still win the Maac tourney. I'm hoping for the best but probably expect 14-6 or 15-5, think the former ties for 1st and latter gets the 1 seed.

We need several players to step up their play. No one on the team has a game overall that is as complete as IW's, but several players can take up the slack.
Huge opportunity for Bebis, who has already demonstrated that he can be effective on D and who has a decent shot. Puts a lot of pressure on him though.
Hines needs to play a much tougher game than he did last night and aggressively fight for position for rebounds. And dunk the ball when you are a foot away from the basket. He looked slow last night but he can contribute, and must.
Amayo needs to play smarter and hopefully work on his foul shooting. When he drives to the basket aggressively he is almost unstoppable. He can rebound and we need him to make that a priority.
Casimir will need to take more shots, especially from 3.
The team can handle this.

I predict we will have five players on the court without IW.
That's my post injury prediction.

As much as I hate to lose IW, this is a blessing in disguise. This will enable more players to play and contribute. Bebis is a player I think will step up for us. He's a good shooter and can contribute on defense. This opportunity allows more bench players to get more gane experience. I'm wishing IW a speedy recovery.

I think a blessing in disguise is a bit strong, it may help some players improve and contribute more, but overall very bad news. Not a complete disaster because he should be back but not sure we can count on him being the same player.

Management I bless you with a healthy and happy life!! Actually our weakness is our bench and even though we don't want to lose IW, it will strengthen the confidence of some of our bench players. We are losing IW for a maximum of 6 weeks. That means, he will be back for the Maac championship.

Joebird, I think the smartest mindset for players, coaches and fans to take is to expect the worst - he won't be back this season.
Hard to fix an accurate number on the impact of losing a first team all-MAAC player is on the team. Simply, huge shoes to fill.
TC and staff need to do a little gap analysis to determine the aspects of IW's game the team will be missing and how they'll address it.
If I had to list the top 4 in order of difficulty to replace they'd be:
1. The energy he brings on defense, particularly the havoc he creates using his speed and long wingspan blocking shots and disrupting passing lanes
2. His ability to play above the rim at both ends of the floor
3. Leadership. IW always stays focused, never lets a bad bounce or call get the best of him and most importantly, never takes off during play.
4. Scoring
Fill in the blanks who you think might best step up and fill these vacancies.

I like the faith Guy, hope you are right.
Cjb you probably are right that we should expect he doesn't return and be pleasantly surprised if he does, but I just want to hope he comes back on time or sooner.
Although I love his defense and his overall energy, I think we actually may miss his 3 point shooting accuracy the most, he is lethal from 3, and has single handily stopped other teams runs with his 3's.
Really will miss him, may be the most fun kid to watch since Tariq kirksay.

If you're looking for anything positive to spin out of the IW injury it is that his numbers on the road have been way down compared to his incredible home numbers. The disparity between home and away is unreal if you compare the two. Believe Siena was the exception but otherwise he's been ice cold on the road and red hot at home.
Having said that, we need him back ASAP!!! :-)

Have noticed he is a way better shooter at home.
Have a feeling most of the 14 points we need to make up are going to come from Laury and English and this is going to propel both into the top 5 in the nation in scoring, I wonder when the last time that has happened, if ever.

I listed scoring last because it's the component I hope might be the least problematic finding a solution elsewhere. The others I think wiil be more of a challenge.

The last time we played without IW I think we went on a six game losing streak.
