cjb I get it,just the mention of Gonzo drives me crazy,he is not a good person and I know this firsthand,we might not win the tournament but I do know on uncertain terms that our coaching staff, administration and our fans are good solid people and in the end this is what is the most important thing!!!

Well said. I look and read about the way a number of coaches conduct themselves on and off the court and thank the Lord we have a guy like Tim Cluess at Iona.

Not to prolong this thread, but add Fairfield's O'Toole to my list of creepy coaches. Allot of bad stuff went on there under him.

Tongue in cheek yes. But at the same time, there are a ton of worse people in the coaching ranks, hall of famers. Winning cures a lot of that. And as was pointed out, we are in great hands here at Iona

For all the stuff people write about him, he always gives us our due, he tweeted congrats to cluess and iona Also the only team including iona who makes his team stay out for trophies, always shows respect

He tweeted me directly last night to offer congratulations. I replied that his team for next year should be good, so why don't we make a date to meet in Albany 365 days from now.

I've been a Masiello man for some time. Probably goes back to his time at Iona Lower School. Or I should say when I first learned that he went there.

Steve Masiello is his own worst enemy in terms of public perception. He maybe misunderstood. If he softened his demeanor on the sideline he might get more love. His body language and facial expressions work against him even though he gives props to others when deserved. Not sure if it was a learned behavior from Rick Pitino or innate. No matter what I am not a fan of his style of play. King Rice is another story. Sounds like a douche, looks like a douche, pretty sure he is a DOUCHE.
