]We open as a 17 1/2 point favorite...
OT After opening line was posted, the first betting line dropped to 14 1/2, and has remained there with each subsequent line...Probably a few knowledgeable betters were impressed with Marist improved recent form and thought 17 1/2 seemed like a pretty good bet subsequently the line drop...English listed as probable but little doubt he will be in starting line up... Word out that I. Williams champing at the bit and can't wait to get back in action...Maybe a little sooner then anticipated...That should be dampening news to hopeful MAAC teams...(Especially Manhattan)...

Wow! Sed with another big time performance from three, AJ with 11 assists, DL III and Hines with double-doubles! Lots of contributions today. 29 assists on 33 baskets! Outstanding. Great job guys, keep it going.

Nice to have AJ back and even nicer that he didn't have to assume a scoring burden. Casimir-- wow! This kid is off to a great start for his career. Laury is consistently excellent. Amayo with another good game and a breakout game for Hines. When IW returns, he will rejoin a team that is much deeper than the one he left.

I think Cas is telling us what to do with the Freshman Wall!

Very strong game. Immediately after IW's injury gordan4mvp said his injury was a blessing in disguise and I said I thought that was a bit strong of a statement but he may have been right. Team is getting better and better and they have developed roles which may not have happened had IW never got hurt. Hines, IBN and Bebis all now are major contributors and Amayo also has got much needed additional minutes he would not have got if IW was healthy, overall if he can come back healthy this team will be for the better come post season.
Amayo's dunk was fantastic but I think you had to see it live to really appreciate it. Sed is a special player, the way he can hit 3's and shoot free throws equals a player who will rack up points over his career.
With Gaels having tiebreaker over Rider and a 2 game lead the regular season title is highly likely. Goal should be to keep winning so if we can win the Maac tourney we can get best possible first round match up.

Really happy with today's performance. I know the "blessing in disguise" term has been thrown around, but I think it was accurate. Kids are much more confident.
I liked how Hines got mixed up in the "brawl" and he has been significantly more aggressive since. He was awesome today!
Casimir has certainly broken through the freshman wall. And I think we could even call AJ's suspension as a "blessing in disguise" because it reminded Sed how important he is to this team. He looked determined and mature Friday night and today.
Laury is going to be impossible to replace, honesty.

When IW went down several posters expressed the hope that the cloud could have a silver lining - that the loss of such an important player would provide an opportunity for some members of a good team (that appeared challenged depthwise) to step up and become more significant contributors. Well, IT HAS HAPPENED. The team looked very good today. Not perfect, but so what? Very very good. This team presents nightmares for opposing coaches. So many options for scoring, and a confident, aggressive yet in-control offense. A couple of times today Marist (Lewis & Hart) made very nice plays to try to make it a game - and Iona scored before they could celebrate. Casimir is the real deal. Can't wait to see Isaiah back with these guys and to see the Manhattan games. Go Gaels!

The Dunk is on youtube but I do not know how to upload it on this site. Someone more tech worthy should go get it.

[Amayo's dunk was the best I've ever seen live. Serious hops
Surprised the hell out of me...I could see power attacking the basket, but never because of his solid type build did I vision he had that type hops...Another coming Iona player to add to the question ''Where do they find these guys''...
