What did we do that was so special in 2012? The MAAC was better, but I don't recall any wow OOC Ws. The bubble is a pile of crap. If we win out and lose to Rider in the finals, our RPI will be in the 40s and we'd have 27 wins. At the very least, we'd be on the bubble, though admittedly feeling like a PIG participant again. This is not me saying that we'd get in. I don't think we would. I'm just playing devil's advocate. It's not 100% no. We beat 3 OOC teams in top 75: Denver, St. Joes and Nevada, plus Maac teams in top 100. This year we won't get in, not that I think we shouldn't, but we won't. Missouri state didn't get in about 5 years ago with an rpi of 19, a good rpi is not enough.

We are at the 50/50 transfer/4 year split that I was hoping for. And by the way... "ahead of the curve" was popular in 1988. Way to stay on top of things.

I'm with Guy that I don't really care if it's a HS kid or a JUCO/transfer as long as he's a good character kid and can help us win some games. But having said that I've recently started to doubt whether or not we can win consistently with the pump-and-dump transfer strategy. Seems like it's effective to keep us competitive most years and give us a real good team once every 5-10 years or so, but not convinced it's going to help us get to the next level in terms of NCAA tourney success and consistent MAAC dominance. JMO. I feel exactly the same way as I have indicated many times. Of course if the kids are good kids I love it. I just don't think the heavy percentage of 2 and 3 year players is the right way to go.

It's a fair percentage at this moment. If we win out and lose to rider in the finals I'd put us at about 25%.
