Big problems at Seton Hall.As I posted in recruiting thread, Jaren Sina announced he is leaving. Security had to be called to the locker room after the last game. Star guards Sterling Gibbs and Isiah Whitehead fighting during the game. KW officially on hot seat I would say

Sina doesn't start one game in his career and transfers, maybe he is the selfish one

Does Seton Hall have the money to buyout Willard and then Cluess? This looks like what happens when you sell your soul to recruits and their handlers. Talent does not mean team player and last I knew you play the game with 5 players and 1 ball.

The Sina's are a good hoops family. I mam sure he's getting good guidance. Something sells rotten over at SHU.

I would not be surprised to see bigger problems arise which might make the Seton Hall job unattractive such as NCAA sanctions. You know they will come after Cluess if Willard gets tossed so lets hope that the financials make tossing Willard unattractive for Seton Hall.

Why would Cluess go to Seton Hall? St. John's sounds like a logical step to me. There are other bigger programs that sound better to me than Seton Hall. Seriously I really don't get why Seton Hall would be attractive to him. Let's say they can pay him $1 million per. That sounds like a great raise. I've had jobs in the past where I was making a great deal of money and was miserable. Would he commute there every day from LI? I realize they play in the Big East. Just not an attractive job to me. Maybe I'm crazy, but I'm not solely motivated by money. I think leaving Iona under Brother Liguori for Seton Hall is pretty much a no-brainer, especially if you want to relocate your young family to NJ. But leaving this Iona for Seton Hall? or any other program that is simply attractive due to salary? meh. If you're making that kind of money, you get a short leash to produce and if you don't that's it.

So many possible problems there. Maybe Tiny Morton is trying to push Willard out. Would not surprise me. Or the other ass't coach KW brought in as part of a recruiting package. Or KW's boring offense. Or perhaps handlers to whom promises were made. I agree with 86, sanctions would not surprise me either.
This is shaping up as the kind of situation that threatens an AD' s job, so I would not push the panic button about Lyons trying to Cluess. Assuming Tim would may not want any part of the circus that has set up camp at Seton Hall.

We don't know what will drive the ultimate decision.

With that said we would lose Grasso to a head coaching job or a top assistants job. My worry is that SHU continues to implode and SJU has a bad finish... the fear of SHU grabbing Cluess could force SJU's hand in packaging Lavin out the door. If they give him Lavin's $2 Million that would be tough to turn down.
