Gotta be careful with the early AJ is horrible comments. Money in the bank at the end of the game. Didn't deserve this one, have some work to do but regular season champs! he is clutch, but he put us in the position to lose With the game on the line, I want AJ to take the final shot. If we are leading a tight game, I want Ced at the foul line icing it.

Lots of crying and whining in this thread. Guess it was a tough loss.
Wait, we won??? Huh.
I don't like the pattern of being flat in the first and flipping the switch in the second. However, the team has more leadership and better defense than other Cluess teams. This team, while not as dominant as other teams in terms of just overwhelming you with offense, is more equipped to win a championship than just about every other team Tim had. And there are players who are not afraid to step up and make big plays late.
As they say in the hood, you guys have gots to chill.

EP, the closest Guy came to ANY HOOD, was living in the North End. And no, I don't mean Boston.

Mike Kitts was one of my favorite refs, in his prime. But his first year as the MAAC Assigner, leaves a lot to be desired. Yesterday's crew called 44 fouls. Almost as many as Larry, Moe and Curley on Friday. Hopefully, Mike will improve.

Kudos to Cluess for not playing IW yesterday. Showed a lot of strength. There were times I wanted to reach through the TV and place IW on the court.

This is where I'm at with this team, usually a game like yesterday as I'm watching I'm hoping Iona can win, or wondering who on the opposition is going to burn us, but with this group my outlook is; how is Iona going to win this game. This teams confidence is evident, and I intend to enjoy watching it!

I am not worried about the MAAC Tourny as I think it is a very good sign that we are winning close games that we probably have no business winning. This team has not peaked yet and I think Manhattan and SPU are great games to push the teams work ethic a bit. Also adding IW back into the mix should have us ready to run on all cylinders during the tournament. i would actually be more worried if we were crushing teams the last three weeks as I think it is natural to become a bit complacent when that happens. This team has found ways to win and it has come from different sources and not only on the offensive side of the ball. On any given night we could have AJ, Laury, Casimir, IW or Amayo step up and carry us. That is one hell of a luxury to have.
Against Manhattan and SPU I would like to have Kristian Duravcevic grab a few more minutes. He is not the offensive player that Hines is but I think he is a better natural rebounder. He is also a big body to lean on the other teams bigs while giving us a few fouls to lay on the likes of Pankey, Allen, Dominique and Welton. Both of these teams are going to try and turn the games into a street fight so lets use Kristian to smack them around and wear their bigs out a bit. A few hard fouls would even be better.

AJ English has given us 3years of outstanding basketball...He is considered one of the nations best college guards and is a sure fire Pro prospect...Beside averaging almost 20 PPG, he leads in assists, is a excellent rebounder, foul shooter, and team leader...He is responsible for many close call wins and we would be another mid-maac team without him....
Yet there are many on this board who are quick to criticize any and every picayune letdown he might have...This selfish attitude in contrast to all he has contributed is the height of ungratefulness...
If by chance he reads this board and feels incline to respond I offer this old fashioned 3 word post...''KISS MY ASS''
