I know it's much too early to look at next year's team, but that's what old people do, when you're not certain you'll be here to do this six months from now (even though I feel that I'll be doing this six years from now). It's the same reason that I tell my wife that the next time we go out for dinner, that my first course will be desert. Here's my take to fill up the down time between now and Saturday morning: SF-IW PF-KA C--TB PG-CC OG-AJ Bench Players: Ricky McGill, first guard sub. Ibn, second guard sub. Dayonne Much, first off guard/small forward sub. VB-SF, who must show a better O/S shot. RH-First Big off bench, if we can't recruit a better option. Daniel Robinson-I, personally doubt that he'll be back, but that's just a guess on my part. If not, we'll be desperate for a similar player, meaning a front court player. Unless I've missed someone, that leaves us with a single opening, assuming, we only want to carry twelve players, while holding one ship for the expected/unexpected transfer.
ic59 - good breakdown. I count 11 that you listed here, including Robinson. So, that would potentially leave us with 2 spots. Seems like we are working hard on:
Eli Cain - 6'5
With a newer interest in:
Chima Moneke - 6'6 Kyle Meyer - 6'10
If we get any of these guys, the rotation could change a lot. I could actually see VB and RH getting bumped.
And, for those asking about Bessick - I watched him practice a few times and he is very athletic rebounder. Likes to dunk a lot more than Laury but obviously has less of a handle. He has a mean streak in him that I like a lot. We are going to have major growing pains without DLIII in the lineup, regardless.

IC59, I hope you are posting 26 years from now. Looks right. Obvious concern up front. Don't see Bessick as anywhere near DL, but he will be good. Amayo undersized at the 4. IW and AJ will help as usual on the boards. As the broken record goes, "We need another big".
I think IW is more of a 4 than Amayo based on height alone.
Bessick will be effective. We've been spoiled by Glover and Laury for sure. Bessick likely won't produce those numbers but we need him to score some points so opponents don't just sit in some extended zone on us all day to take away our 3s. I think Bessick can do this. If he averages 10 and 6 that would be pretty good. (And rememeber that, realistically, the numbers for AJ, IW, Casimir and Amayo should all increase.)
Hines is just a soph this year. He made nice strides from last year. Let's see what he brings next year.
The greatest poster in the history of the MAAC as determined by THREE separate polls.
DL3 will go down as an all-time great, but not as concerned with replacing him as many on this board are. Know it sounds crazy, but we'll be fine next year without him. We'll lose a lot of innovation in our offense with him gone, but the ball will flow a bit better and more freely, and we'll also come out with an improvement on the defensive end at that position. We'll also benefit from having IW and AJ in more of leadership roles next season, and even Casimir to a lesser degree. Didn't feel this way at the beginning of the year, but really think this team can be better next year even with DL3 graduating.

So we will be better without the POY and no inside scoring next year?
Two comments: 1.Endwee, I've been told that we'll probably go with 12 guys, since the Staff likes to hold one 'ship back in case of a mid-year transfer. If we can snag a special player, well that would change things. 2. 05, reference DL. Watch a replay of any Iona game (probably) and you'll see two or even three guys collapsing on DL. This opens up the perimeter game. Then check the rebound totals for Iona players not named David Laurey. DL is a difference maker.

Was at The County Center yesterday, McGill will fit in quite nicely, with his offensive skill set, why would he ever have considered Manhattan? Mitchell needs work, but he looks likes he's a hustler so that shouldn't be a problem, I'm curious to see though how he will fit in here, I think he's going to be a handful in the paint!
Knew this would be a dangerous comment. DL3 is a beast, but the Cluess system has a proven track record of adjusting, and in many cases, improving on these losses. Intention is not to knock Dave who has been a great player. But look at the track record.
Lose an NBA caliber player in Machado, what do we do the next year? Win the MAAC, something the previous team couldn't do. Lose POY in Momo and what happens next year? We have a better all around team. Rinse and repeat year after year. DL3 will be a big loss but the train will keep moving forward without him.
Plus, we will likely bring in an impact big in the offseason.

Yes you can not knock the success of the coach. He will have a good team. It will be very hard to be as good as this year, but if he can get another very good player with size, look out.
Hard losing DL but we be better at all other positions if AJ isn't drafted. We are basically returning 4 starters.
The following year is a question. Cassie will be the Maacs leading scorer by then so it will be interesting to see the pieces he will have around him. I expect some interesting additions as always!!!
Dan Robinson seems like a good kid but has anyone seen anything that would make you think he can have an impact. He seems in the mold of Hines and Hines appears to have a better jumper. Better off with 6'8 glover type
