Jay Bilas's team. Picking the best teams in CBB. Five ESPN guys picked teams.
Jay Bilas' Team 2. Jahlil Okafor, Duke (Fr., C, 6-11, 270) 9. Kyle Wiltjer, Gonzaga (Jr., F, 6-10, 240) 12. Malcolm Brogdon, Virginia (Jr., G, 6-5, 217) 19. A.J. English, Iona (Jr., G, 6-4, 190) 22. Yogi Ferrell, Indiana (Jr., G, 6-0, 178) 29. Coach - Bill Self, Kansas
KenPom says: The concern regarding Team Bilas has to be defense. With a front line consisting of Kyle Wiltjer and Jahlil Okafor, opposing teams are going to have it a bit easy in the paint. Not to mention we're asking Malcolm Brogdon to play the 3 with this lineup. This team will be fun to watch, though. Bilas' dual-headed point guard platoon of English and Ferrell has experience running fast-paced offenses and both are accurate from beyond the arc while taking a high volume of shots. One question that must be asked is whether Bill Self is the right coach for this team. At Kansas, Self has guided a team that has the top 3-point percentage in Big 12 play this season, but has taken only the eighth-most attempts (as a percentage of field goal attempts). But this team is going to have to shoot. It's not just Ferrell and English; Brogdon and particularly Wiltjer are capable outside threats. There's the potential for a lot of 3s, which will allow Okafor to avoid the double-teams he has so frequently seen this season.

Ken Pom picks Bilas's team to be the best. Most fun to watch for sure.
Whose squad is the best? KenPom says: We have five good teams here, but if I have to go to war with one of them it would be Team Bilas. Or perhaps I just want to see a lot of 80-78 games and I'm guessing that is what we would get with Jay's team. Bill Self has one of the better track records on the defensive side, and if anyone could get that group to defend, it might be him. And that would make Team Bilas both fun to watch and difficult to beat.
