Too many variables that make up a recruits decision to draw any conclusions. Eric Paschall's eventual decision can not be used to gauge Iona's recruiting, too small a sample. Need to watch trends over time. Very happy Iona landed McGill and Mitchell from Spring Valley. Getting local players to consider the program is a good first step.

This kid is a very good player. Sounds like he's just doing what's prudent. Looking around a bit. Who knows who Fordham will bring in as a HC? He could wait three weeks to find out Mike Rice is his new head coach. Smart and prudent thing to do. Maybe he'll decide to stay there. Hopefully he does what's best for himself and it works out wherever he ends up and he enjoys playing college basketball.

All the losing at Fordham is such a negative for recruits. They are in the wrong conference for their level of commitment.

Paschall and Donovan Mitchell are best friends and played AAU together. Mitchell is committed to Louisville. Mark it down - Paschall to L'Ville.

Either way it appears he will go higher than the MAAC so this is a dead thread.

Expect Providence to get involved hard. He wanted to play somewhat close to home and his father has stressed that a schools academic rating is important.

He is not coming. GuyF was correct. This is a dead thread. This not a "dead thread" and it is not over. Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?!?

Brain Surgeons on the Fordham board are at it again:
1. They found out that Tony Chiles was a former Iona assistant, under JR. They'll take him as long as he's in no way connected to Valvano and Ruland. Another classy poster noted that JV is dead, so that should be distance enough. 2. A possible landing place for Paschall is now Florida. And he has to question why he would want to go from being a team's centerpiece to a five minute a game player. Would someone let the Brain Surgeons know that Mason just transferred from a MAAC team to another SEC school and he was a starter.
When you come to think of it, for the last twenty years or so Fordham BB has been awful. But imo, their team has been better than many of their posters.
