NERR @nerrhoops 4h4 hours ago Unsigned @stm_Chancellors shooter Ryan Funk has reportedly added offers from Marist and Iona.
Ryan Funk = 6'5" SG/SF from St. Thomas More. Shooter who is fairly athletic. 7th Team All State as a senior at Clarence NY which was also the team that Ricky McGill was picked for n 2014. Many people think he was better as a senior than Sterling Taplin and Funk averaged 18 points and 7.5 rebounds per game this season. Originally used down low due to his height, he has worked hard on developing his perimeter game and is a good 3 point shooter. Offers from Marist and Niagara.

I think so. He only played 48 minutes in 7 games at USC. Looks like he has three years left, possibly four. He is from Brooklyn. Was suspended for a violation of team rules and missed the late part of the season.

Wow Ramone Snowden leaving Niagara Crazy. what the hell is going on at Niagara? I really liked their returning players, and considered them as a sleeper team next season to be top 5. Snowden is a really good player, and I believe the 6th kid to transfer from Niagara this year, with rumors of another to transfer soon. They could be the worst team in the country next year the way things are going. Not good for the MAAC

Terry Larrier might be an interesting name to watch. Saw a report that the only reason he transferred from VCU was because he had to be close to home. He is from the Bronx, so if the reports are accurate, I would think the staff would be in contact with him since Iona did offer him last year. The other logical choices obviously would be Manhattan, St. John's and possibly Hofstra. I would think Fordham would not be in the mix since they are in the A-10. This could be a similar recruiting battle that happened last year with Jermaine Lawrence.

St John's Don't count out Seton Hall or UCONN as they were in the final mix for his services before he committed to VCU. It appears he needed to come home due to a family matter so whichever school can accommodate him in taking care of his family issue will be the ones that have the best chance to land him. If the family issue is so serious that he needs to be within 30 minutes of home, than I would bet on SJU. I know Albano has been telling people that it is a done deal and that Much Williams is pushing him to SJU. Why wouldn't he have committed if it was that easy? Maybe Albano is trying to discourage the other schools in the area? Besides if they land Larrier it might lessen their chances at landing Bashir Ahmed.
