You do not step in front of this kid if he wants to dunk.

You do not step in front of this kid if he wants to dunk. That makes two. You step aside for Kelvin too.

Once again this staff gives us a pleasant surprise. A number of posters on this board got their wish for a big body. Curious to see who commits next. In searching the internet I found a story from the NY Post a year ago www.nypost.com/2014/01/17/former-queens-star-washington-big-on-the-court-and-class/ . Hopefully the theft was an isolated incident and he has focused on the straight and narrow after losing his opportunity at Arizona State. A great get for the program in bringing home a local product with higher level talent. Coach Cluess and staff are building brick by brick the reputation of the program and it will become increasingly an attractive landing spot for potential higher level players with the success and scoring. Jordan appears to be a similar talent to David Laury who should blossom under this coaching staff. I expect he will be lighter come next season. Indian Hills CC was where Michael Haynes played. Looks like Iona has good cred with that JUCO program.

Losing DL3 and bringing in a 6'9" JUCO All-American - I'd say it sure looks this staff has more than addressed a need.
With hard work the same opportunities will become available to him as they would if he played for all those high majors.
Glad he recognized that and I'm sure the coaching staff pointed that out to him.
Looking forward to watching him propel the team forward and watching him develop both on and off the court.

He sort of reminds me of a heavier David Laury. I was thinking exactly that Yeah, I was thinking sort of a combination of Glover and Laury. He's a beast right now, imagine when he gets in shape. You can usually tell by the other schools recruiting the player. Could possibly develop into the best big since Ruland. Maybe the longer term Iona people could comment on that.
Cluess, ironically, is a former Nassau County Police Officer, and must have thought he was still a good kid. The big programs might not take a risk on a three star player but if he was a five star he would have no problem getting a high major scholarship. In fact, probably still could have. But I definitely trust TC's judgement giving his background in law enforcement. I was thinking that they weren't going to replace David. What a great surprise. Go Gaels!!

MAAC board should be in complete full moon howl over this. Shortbus is no doubt already stalking the kid on Twitter, and Saintly will see a vast Masonic conspiracy behind Iona's recruiting. The rest of the pack will run in circles barking.

Great to get a big man. ASU had lsome problems with players between 2010-2012. They couldn't afford to take the risk. Hopefully he will work for the Gaels.

in the article from january 2014 indian hills coach says he hasn't been a problem. it could have just been a kid doing a dumb thing, i don't think cluess needs to straighten him out as a few people always point out when we get a kid that had some past trouble
