We have a stacked team this coming season. Hearing that Washington will be every bit just as good as DL3 overall, although certainly weaker in certain areas and stronger in others. Much, who will likely be our 8th player on the depth chart, has drawn comparisons the George Beamon. The new kid from Wake is going to be a fantastic role player. And as always, Casimir, AJ and IW will be three of the best players on the floor against most teams we play against, not to mention a fully healthy Amayo and a solid player in Bessick and an immediate contributor in McGill. Should be another tremendous season in New Ro.

Any info on how the visits were for Bellot-Green and Johnson? Have to add great job by the staff to recruit 2 HM type "bigs" against programs like Seton Hall and George Washington.

Fairly certain staff is working hard to close on one more high level player that would put us over the top if we landed him. Fingers crossed. Regardless, we are pretty set already for next season.

Sounds like Cluess is going for the 10 starters I said was next to impossible. He may just do it and solve the 3 games in 3 night problem.

Great job by the staff addressing needs. Now let's load the OOC again and make sure we're 10 deep by March.

OOC sked will be very difficult to put together, imo. Teams that wouldn't play us in the past when we were good, now definitely won't play us. This is a year where a tourney would be a big plus in putting a schedule in place. Staff has their work cut out.

The MAAC board used to complain Iona only had 7 players. We've got twice that now. So there!

The team is stacked this year. Very few holes. Going to be tough to find minutes for guys who were role players last season. Minutes will have to be earned in the summer.

Iona05, I agree. It will be a difficult balancing act if everyone puts out effort and makes plays. Someone inevitably will be unhappy. I am sure we will not enter next season with everyone, at least two gone or not showing up. We will see in September. Best wishes to this group on a productive and healthy offseason. High expectations for our returning core leading the way.

Looking at Proctor, who at 6'3, is one of the shorter guys on the team. And it made me think of the thread (BB in the 60's), where the 6'3 George Jonic was the starting center. And a good one at that. A 50 year difference.
