Looking at Proctor, who at 6'3, is one of the shorter guys on the team. And it made me think of the thread (BB in the 60's), where the 6'3 George Jonic was the starting center. And a good one at that. A 50 year difference.

Doubles are good in baseball, not so good in computer.

Iona05, I agree. It will be a difficult balancing act if everyone puts out effort and makes plays. Someone inevitably will be unhappy. I am sure we will not enter next season with everyone, at least two gone or not showing up. We will see in September. Best wishes to this group on a productive and healthy offseason. High expectations for our returning core leading the way. Sure there will be some downplaying in public, but make no mistake insiders and staff are very optimistic about this season, as they should be. Staff turnover being low should be a clear sign that everyone feels this will be a special year and want to hang around to be a part of it. This will be the best team we've had in the Cluess era and by a large margin IMO, and that includes the at large team.

We've got plenty of reason to be optimistic and plenty of reasons to be proud. One reason is Isaiah Williams who was just honored at the Three Doctors Foundation Gala. Congratulations, Isaiah!

I was at the College, yesterday, for the Golden Gaels Luncheon. From two pretty good sources, I'm hearing that one guy leaving is DR, and there is probably another one or two, but no one identified. I'm not going to speculate, but think that we'll continue to pursue recruits. Those attending the HOF golf outing, MIGHT get the final roster. On the bad news front, don't believe we'll see the 'new' HAC anytime soon (remind anyone of Rider annd Siena?). As Super (I believe) posted, the announcement of their building 'priority' should take place in September.

Must admit I am surprised to hear probably another one or two might leave.

sharkey, another one or two, is based on what I heard, yesterday and the continued pursuit of recruits. No facts, but it seems logical.

I kind of expected that. One heck of a nice guy. Wish he didn't hurt his back this past season. We missed him in the last few games. Hope your future is bright, Van!

Bebis not coming back. Going pro. That is the plan for many European players... come get experience in the US for a year or two and then go back and tryout for the pro team in your club. He seem liked a great kid who was loved by the other students. He will be missed.
