Tau, I said it was only a tiebreaker and Warney has great numbers. That's why he is there. Plus he is a third year player, and upperclassmen receive the benefit of the doubt in the committee's eyes. Much more so then does the conference level.

All I said was the conference level is only a tiebreak. Did you go to Iona SLG? You don't belong on a respectable board. Imagine if everyone on this board was like you. What kind of board would it be. And what you did doesn't even make sense after what I posted. So your reasoning abilities aren't very good either. Better to just not post at all.

When does the voting for these teams and awards take place? Pointer had a great season, but so did DL and AJ. In fact I believe AJ and the kid from Ohio State were the only players in the country who averaged over 19ppg, 5apg and 5rpg. Wonder if Iona not making the NCAA tourney killed their chances for the Haggerty award, since Pointer played a major role in SJU making the tournament. In my opinion, Casimir should have at least shared the award with Delgado.

Casimir's performance may actually be considered more impressive than Paschall's in some ways, when you consider their respective roles and the disparity between the two programs. Casimir integrated seamlessly into a highly skilled team with several well established high quality players. Paschall is a high quality talent, but his numbers popped more because he was one of only 2 focus players (both freshman) on a much weaker team. That accounts for Paschall having a slightly higher scoring average, but puts Camimir's overall performance in better perspective. You could also argue the other way. Cas teammates were much better and got him many open looks. Paschall had to create shots for himself. Close call. That's true, but don't forget that its easier for a talented player (and Paschall is talented) to "get" his points on a bad team like Fordham than it is to mesh well on a team with strong talent like Iona. But I realize that while basketball is a team sport, these are individual awards.... Paschall is a talented player. Though Fordham will be better next season due purely to coaching improvement, Paschall really should transfer because his overall development as a player will be held back there due to a lack of talented teammates. I expect to see Ced recognized in the Met awards next season.

Tau, Warney is a Junior and his numbers are great. 16.7 ppg, 11.7 rpg, and 2.5 bpg. He deserved to be on there.
This was a good thread. I enjoy the give and takes with posters here like Tau, and I learn a lot coming here. I think the few snobs that there are on the Fordham board are nowhere near as bad as the couple of low lives here. They don't belong on a board like this. I don't understand this place.

I too believe Warney deserved to be there. What I'm saying is, why does conference affiliation matter in 1 instance( rookie awards) and not in all met teams? As for other posters, their might be an ignore option on this site

Tau, I've lost track. Doing three things at once. Taking care of an eight month old baby and reading outrageous attacks from cowards can be distracting. Who do you think should and shouldn't be where? This could actually be an interesting off season discussion if some people didn't think it was a fight or a cheerleading session.

Only thing I have a problem with is Casimir being left off
