I've read on the official Iona site about the recruiting of our Volleyball and Swimming and Diving teams. Any idea of when we'll see the same for our Mens and Womens' BB programs? Also the X-C (Men/Women) teams? If I remember correctly, the Women completed their recruiting in the Fall, but stats shown were for the recruits' junior years. And all indications are that recruiting for the Men never ends, but an update would be nice. At any rate, I'm asking that you pass my request on to the coaches involved. Thanks.

Recruiting isn't over for men's hoops, so why would you see a release?

What's funny about the Ruland-to-Siena scenario (which is almost certainly happening at this point) is that I'd have better sources at Siena than just about every Siena fan.

What's even funnier is that many Siena fans view this as significant boost to their program, rather than a sign of dysfunction/desperation.

[/quote] There is little doubt that the close mouth policy of the Iona basketball staff is a source of much annoyance to us loyal fans especially those that visit other boards and other sources of info that they reveal... But it is hard to argue with the results of Iona's recruitment, and if that policy has help lead to the outstanding recruitment, then I for one will accept the trade off and join the ''Go get him Grasso'' crowd even though at times they are impossible to keep tract of, leading to visions of the defunct football team running out on to the field......  , |

Guy, we would see a release because TC KNOWS when this year's recruiting IS over. It might not be today, this week or even next week, but at some point it WILL be over. And if there is always an interim report possibility. Plus, I did mention other teams, that I'd be interested in knowing how we did recruiting. And the bottom line, there is no harm in asking.

What's even funnier is that many Siena fans view this as significant boost to their program, rather than a sign of dysfunction/desperation.[/quote] Siena administration and basketball staff are caught in a time zone that has entrapped and will not release them...It has signs of mass hypnosis...They are desperately seeking their way out, but fail to see the obvious, and that is to discard old memories and start anew with fresh faces and the realization that it is no longer 2008-09... Their recruitment effort is a farce that is little better then Div.2 or 3... |

Guy, choose one or more reasons:
1. Ric Santos has seven runners in the NCAA Regionals.
2. Women's BB wants to make sure that another Aleeysha (Sp?) Powell isn't transferring.
3. TC feels that PC deserves a stand alone release.
4. Coaches want to issue a release, but SID is on vacation.
5. Or SID is on his honeymoon.
6. Recruiting really isn't over.
7. Coaches feel that fans are only happy when they have something to complain about.
8. TC is busy interviewing for the Chicago Bulls job.

I would at least take a scheduling update, I would think a couple of games have to be finalized
