/ You have posted multiple times calling out other posters on the fact that this poll picks Canisius second, mocking those of us who believe in some of the other teams. Now, you dodge and deflect, which are common traits on the MAAC board--my "home territory", as you called it. And it's precisely why I've owned that board since its inception. People say silly things, get called on it, then backpedal--this is what you are doing now. So, if the MAAC board is "my territory", thank you for making me feel at home here as well. :-p GUY.......This will be my last response to your egotistical nature...In the above post I challenge you produce one post where I was ever mocking, dodging or disrespectful to any boarder. Do this with facts and not stray off into generalities...I have become aware over the years that unless one condescends to you, he becomes a challenge to your perch.....On the vast majority of my posts you have taken issue whatever the subject... So I will leave you hoping the practice season arrival will provide a much needed return to our infatuation---Iona Basketball...
This is fun! And I am not in the OT firing line!!!

So I will leave you hoping the practice season arrival will provide a much needed return to our infatuation---Iona Basketball...
The fact is you have continually brought up that we have not seen Monmouth or Manhattan or anyone else other than Canisius. The fact is many here don't think Canisius is the second best team in the maac. The fact is that you would not continue to bring this up other than to pat yourself on the back because one shaky at best media outlet is proving others wrong in your mind. And the fact is I've been moderating this board and participating on other boards enough to know deflection when I see it and read between the lines with startling accuracy. Finally, the fact is I have no challenger on this board because I'm the one who runs it and pays money so that it exists for all of us. So yeah, if you don't mind, I'll stand my ground. I trust few people in this world because the insecurities of those who live in it create much of its problems. But this board is not the world and I refuse to let posters who think they know all the answers get away with it. None of us has all the answers last time I checked.

At the beginning of next week we will be entering the 60's...Although I expect Iona will appear at a lower number our name could appear anytime soon.....
When I review the high quality teams that have already appeared in the recent numbers we should feel gratified and proud that Iona's name has despite overcoming many obstacles will be in the aprox. 15-17% group which means there are at close to 300 Div. 1 teams behind us.......A tribute to the ability, effort, foresight, and hard devoted work of the staff and those that promote the efforts...
As the practice sessions nears and season looms, anticipation re-energizes my aged Iona basketball enthusiasm entering the 71st year...
Looking at our team for the coming season I see enough bench improvement that will allow that 'Tired Team' syndrome that hits us at tourney time to abate...It will also raise competitive spirit to a new level...

Well we're into the sixties now. Maybe this guy knows what he's doing, maybe he doesn't, but at least this gave us something to talk about. I predicted we'd come in 80. I factored in that this guy always ranks us a little higher than he should, IMO. Who knows where we really belong. I'm gonna say we come in at 65l

I think we are getting close...Any where in mid 50's...Its been fun... I believe that if we could have won a game or two of those heartbreaking NCAA tourney losses we would be on verge of cracking top 30...

If we make it into the fifties, I would say, given the unknowns on this team that would be a bit high. I think the 60's would be just about the right place. At least at this point.
