Emmett Holt a high reputation player has been dismissed from Indiana for alcohol drinking on Campus...He is a 6-8 center who was previously recruited by Canisious which is in the vicinity of his home...They have now showed renewed interest....
If several recruiting and other problem can be resolved the Griffs will move up a notch and the MAAC and the Gaels will have serious competition...

OT, Even if Holt ends up at Canisius, he will have to sit this season. Agree he would be a very good MAAC player

Good post OT. Would expect the MAAC to shake out somewhat like this: 1. Iona (17-3) 2. Monmouth (14-6) 3. Manhattan (13-7) 4. Siena (11-9) 5. Rider (11-9) 6. Quinnipiac (10-10) 7. Marist (7-13) 8. Canisius (6-14) 9. Fairfied (6-14) 10. Saint Peter's (5-15) 11. Niagara (4-16) I would expect Canisius to finish top 5 and Rider to be ahead of Siena. Early take is that we overrated Rider and Manhattan, but underrated Saint Peter's and Canisius. At least I did!

I would switch Fairfield with QPAC. I think Fairfield is going to pull off a couple upsets, and can see them finish 5th or 6th, if Gilbert comes back healthy. Completely different style of play than previous years. As of today they might have the best freshmen class in the MAAC.

Canisius was my dark horse this year but I defiantly thought Rider would be better. Manhattan would be better but the injuries and defection of the weed king has killed them. SPU is really surprising.
